We really loved having a dining room and a living room. There was also a really nice coffee shop across the street. And laundry facility in front of our hotel. Loved it.

Fabulous property with the most amazing hosts! Mai and her family go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. And it was! Large, clean room with an amazing view, delicious food, and everything we needed to explore…or just relax. This was my favorite hotel after 13 weeks in Southeast Asia! Can’t wait to come back!
I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats.
I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person.
Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.

I was in town for the first annual (I hope) Chiang Khong Music Festival.
The music was excellent and the roads to and from were perfect for motorcycles.
Chiang Khong is a sleepy little town with just enough nightlife to keep it from being boring.
It is right on the Mekong River and there is a "Friendship Bridge" border crossing to Lao (Laos) very close.
If you need to decompress, this is a good place to do it.
Great place to spend the night for Motorcycle enthusiasts.

Nothing much here but it's away from the waterfront at Chiang Saen and Sop Ruap with their Burmese and Chinese casinos across the river. We drove so we were able to get around to some out of the way places downriver and over to Sop Ruap so the ladies could go shopping. All in all a pleasant place to stay especially for us older farangs.
We had a room with a balcony and a King size bed overlooking the Mekong river. Possibly one of the best rooms with an amazing view. The hotel itself is basic but clean. The view over the Mekong and into Laos well and truly makes up for everything. There is also a swimming pool, a bar and restaurant and the hotel is very central to shops, restaurant and some site seeing. I think the hotel might have suffered from Covid lockdown, but it appears they are working hard to bring it back to life.
The hotel is immaculate! The room was so big and comfortable I was sorry I had to leave and could have stayed for a week or more. The family running it obviously care a lot about the place and nothing was too much trouble. Location just a short walk from bars and restaurants. So peaceful I could sit on the balcony and listen to nothing but birds. If you get the chance to stay here definitely stay. It’s an absolute find and you wont be disappointed
It’s in a good location with restaurants and stores within walking distance. It’s located in the heart of Chiang Khong city. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure and was hot. Although the staff wasn’t there to greet us when we arrived, we rang the bell as the sign said, and she came right away. She was very helpful and helped us immensely. It was a good value for the money. I would stay here again.
The good reviews this place has received were absolutely correct. Very nice and helpful people and though the bungalow room was probably the smallest I have ever stayed in, it was lovely and perfect for my needs. I always bring a memory foam matrass in my car when I travel around in Thailand because of my bad back, but this time I could leave it in the car because the bed was comfortable as it was.
The hosts were absolutely adorable, we stayed for 1 night at Chiang Khong, coming from the slow boat. The host picked us up at the boarder and dropped us at the bus station the morning after. Delicious food, with mangos straight from the garden! And the little bungalows are cute, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended if you are looking for just 1 night before/after crossing the border.

Room was bright, spacious and clean, with a good bed and well functioning air conditioning. Bathroom was fine, with better than usual counter space around the sink. Front desk staff were cheerful and welcoming. The adjacent 7/11 was very handy. Hotel's location could not be more central, with many places to eat nearby.
Reception was excellent and helpfull. Staff was very busy due to holidays but helpful and capable. There was a party on Christmas eve with live band and lucky we were placed at the other side of the hotel. The bandleader apologized personally to us for any noise ;-)
We only stayed one night, before taking the slow boat to Luang prabang, but the hotel was perfect for a one night stay. The owners were very helpful in making sure everything was organised for our trip. The rooms all have great views of the Mekong.
I moved to upper grade room (the air con room) by paid more. That was better cause to clean and quiet. This hotel have broad packing lot in the front but the way so narrow, however that's fine for me. The housekeeper so kind and helpful.
They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 11. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.
A wonderful waterfront inn, wonderful charming, helpful owner. Great location in a charming small village which felt very friendly and manageable. If I were going to live in Thailand, I just might choose to live in Chaing Khong.
The Thai food was very good, skillfully prepared and it was a nice place to sit down next to the pool. It's a beautiful hotel and pool as well. The room is also very nice and everything worked perfectly well.
We really loved having a dining room and a living room. There was also a really nice coffee shop across the street. And laundry facility in front of our hotel. Loved it.
