Lamlash is the prettiest village on Arran, with the most beautiful views.
There are charming art & craft shops, lovely cafes with home baking and the ferry over to Holy Isle goes from the pier.
The Lamlash Bay hotel serve delicious evening meals. There are other bars & restaurants as an alternative.
Buses go through the village in either direction, so it's easy to get around the island from here (get a timetable).

Lamlash is a lovely village - 10mn bus from Brodick/ferry terminal - with some nice little shops and beaches from where you can admire the Holy Isle and also some seals who seem to love the area!
Few restaurants and a Co-op (supermarket) and the people there are very welcoming.

Lamlash is a great location to base yourself, only ten minutes from Brodick. Very easy to get around and everyone is friendly. Crabbing and pier jumping for the kids is recommended! However we visited the Drift Inn for dinner and could not recommend it.

Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle.
Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle. And the walk along the shore.
We ate at 3 local restaurants, the Pierhead Tavern, Lamlash Bay Hotel and Glenisle Hotel all of which served good food and had friendly staff. All on the shore road within easy walking distance from the property.
Extremely clean, Covid friendly, room 2 big and spacious. breakfast and evening meal beautiful. staff so nice and helpful. Our ferry was cancelled on our day we were meant to be going home due to high winds but the owner kept us our room and booked us in for breakfast and dinner as well. Perfect surroundings, on the water, pubs nearby and other restaurants as well (but my advice is eat at the hotel as it’s delicious and have drinks in the hotel pub as it’s gorgeous). Also a co-op is right next door if u want some goodies in ur room.
This venue was quite special, right on the water looking out at the Holy Isle and in walking distance to a lovely cafe (The Old Pier Tearoom), pubs and shops in Lamlash. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and made sure we knew everything we needed to book the ferry to Arran for instance, really felt like they went out of their way to provide a great experience. The apartment itself was well stocked and sparkling clean with great views without even leaving the front door!
Thank you very much for a lovely stay at the Mail Barn. A comfortable and cosy apartment, with excellent entertainment and kitchen facilities.
The location is ideal for exploring Lamlash and is close to local amenities and bus stop for adventures around the rest of the island.
Would definitely stay again when visiting Arran.
Lovely location near the beach and easy walking distance along a coastal path from Lamlash. Village has all necessary amenities and is a great base to explore Arran. Spotless, comfortable room with small fridge and wonderful breakfast. Guests can come and go during the day. Owner is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Wonderful, lovely, extremely clean accomodation in Lamlash, with a really nice garden! Emily is very very kind, she supported us in a "food emergency" 🙂, we felt like at home.
An additional applause for the booklet in the room, full with really all the information and curiosities you would know about Arran 👍
Great location with even better views. The Sleep Huts are perfect for hikers and cyclists who only need accommodation to sleep. It's basic but has everything you need. The communal cook house is very nice and spacious for any cooking needs. I would definitely return to sleep huts next time I'm in lamlash.
The hotel and huts have spectacular views of the bay and holy island. We stayed in the main lodge building and the rooms were well equipped but simple, again the sea facing rooms are great! Short walk from the main village and Co-op supermarket. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Brilliant stay at Monamore Guest House, couldn't fault a thing. Homemade shortbread & tablet in the room was a lovely wee touch. Located in a great location within walking distance to Lamlash with a couple of greats pubs & restaurants. We will definitely be back!
Lovely flat, and a handy location in Lamlash. Nice job on the decor, lots of nice touches throughout.
Clean and very comfortable.
Easy check in, good instructions, and lots and lots and good quality local information of where to go and how to get around.
It is a good position on the front at Lamlash and Lamlash itself a good base with shops and restaurants.
Colin and Jane are great hosts, breakfasts excellent, and the fridge, with fresh milk, for use by guests is thoughtful.
Ideally situated cottage, next to excellent hotel that provided us with delicious food and friendly service. Amazing views, even on the rainy days, over the bay and Holy Isle. A perfect place for us to stay with our dog.
we stayed here for 3 nights. The property was very clean and had everything we required. Great location on the shore road and right next door to The Lamlash Bay hotel and 2 minutes walk to the shop for food.
Clean and cosy room. Great location - close to Lamlash attractions and amenities. A nice bar and restaurant on site. The breakfast ( eggs Benedict etc) was great. Friendly and helpful staff.
Ideal location for a stay on Arran. Easy stroll to all that Lamlash has to offer.
Comfortable, roomy and comfortable apartment with everything you need.
