Lamlash is the prettiest village on Arran, with the most beautiful views. There are charming art & craft shops, lovely cafes with home baking and the ferry over to Holy Isle goes from the pier. The Lamlash Bay hotel serve delicious evening meals. There are other bars & restaurants as an alternative. Buses go through the village in either direction, so it's easy to get around the island from here (get a timetable).

Lamlash is a lovely village - 10mn bus from Brodick/ferry terminal - with some nice little shops and beaches from where you can admire the Holy Isle and also some seals who seem to love the area! Few restaurants and a Co-op (supermarket) and the people there are very welcoming.

Lamlash is a great location to base yourself, only ten minutes from Brodick. Very easy to get around and everyone is friendly. Crabbing and pier jumping for the kids is recommended! However we visited the Drift Inn for dinner and could not recommend it.

Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle.

Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle. And the walk along the shore. We ate at 3 local restaurants, the Pierhead Tavern, Lamlash Bay Hotel and Glenisle Hotel all of which served good food and had friendly staff. All on the shore road within easy walking distance from the property.

Small coastal town, pretty , good views of holy island and some nice walks and views. Waterfalls and cairns not too far away. Monamore B and B fabulous nothing too much trouble for our hostess. Drift Inn good for food book and be early for the specials such as Scallops. Flat walking on the front some cafes and shops. Also some sports facilities but we did not use.

Extremely clean, Covid friendly, room 2 big and spacious. breakfast and evening meal beautiful. staff so nice and helpful. Our ferry was cancelled on our day we were meant to be going home due to high winds but the owner kept us our room and booked us in for breakfast and dinner as well. Perfect surroundings, on the water, pubs nearby and other restaurants as well (but my advice is eat at the hotel as it’s delicious and have drinks in the hotel pub as it’s gorgeous). Also a co-op is right next door if u want some goodies in ur room.

This venue was quite special, right on the water looking out at the Holy Isle and in walking distance to a lovely cafe (The Old Pier Tearoom), pubs and shops in Lamlash. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and made sure we knew everything we needed to book the ferry to Arran for instance, really felt like they went out of their way to provide a great experience. The apartment itself was well stocked and sparkling clean with great views without even leaving the front door!

Our host Ute was very welcoming and took time to show us around and give us ideas and suggestions for our holiday. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable and provided everything we wanted. We loved the balcony and the views over to Holy Island were spectacular. The location was perfect for exploring Lamlash on foot and all the key activities on the island could be easily reached by car. We would definitely recommend.

The village of Lamlash sits on a beautiful bay overlooking the Holy Island. There are good cafes, restaurants and pubs and a friendly vibe. Nearby are excellent walking trails as well as good shops and access to the whole of the island. Monawilline Cottage is like a beautiful tardis. It has everything you need and is excellently proportioned and decorated with very comfortable beds.

Gorgeous, well equipped and quirky wee property. Just perfect for 2 with absolutely everything you need. Lindsay is absolutely lovely and very helpful, it was lovely to meet her, would have no hesitation to rebook. Lamlash is a great place for a base to get round the island and all the restaurants have wonderful food. Stunning Golf Course as well.

Carol and Jules were very friendly and helpful. We really liked the way the place was decorated, the attention to detail, and and a great collection of books! Nice touches like a bowl of fruit in the room. The location was excellent, in the middle of Lamlash. The vegan breakfast was delicious, and very generous portions.

Great location with even better views. The Sleep Huts are perfect for hikers and cyclists who only need accommodation to sleep. It's basic but has everything you need. The communal cook house is very nice and spacious for any cooking needs. I would definitely return to sleep huts next time I'm in lamlash.
