Wonderful resort in private island. I really enjoyed time here in Beach front villa, it has everything you need (including mosquito repellent). On my stay I didn't see any mosquito. There are plenty activities : SUP, kayaks, snorkelling, hammocks on the sea. There is an opportunity to visit fishermans village too. Amazing reef in front of the hotel. Tasty food in the restaurant, wide selection of food options. Exceptional hospitality, friendly staff. Special thanks to hotel manager from Bali for hospitality
, and to Albert for organizing nice kayak trip to another island.

Labuan Bajo is a port harbor with its main attraction, the Komodo Dragon. There are day tours that you can take: Komodo Island with five other stops and Rinca Island with 3 other stops. The harbor master closed Komodo Island for 7 days due to weather but Rinca Island was open. The snorkeling is phenomenal with purple, green coral that look like cauliflower and broccoli florets with many colorful fish. There is no need to book tours ahead. You can walk down to the dock area and book with any of the vendors selling packages. Even the LBJ airport has tours available.
We rented scooters to visit Rangko Cave and nearby Batu Cermin cave. The ride is beautiful and scenic. There is lots of seafood in this port town ranging from sea and lake fish, lobster, crab and squid.
Labuan is worth a three day visit.

I love it here.
I love it here. The people are so friendly, the food is very good, and the scenery is beautiful. You can book many trips, overland or to other islands, and of course see the Komodo dragon.
There are some beautiful beaches too.
I will come back again!

Great area, but the main attraction is the boat trips to visit the surrounding islands, beaches and Komodo dragons. We booked a 2d1n boat trip. We fitted in lots to this short itinerary but a extra night in the boat, as opposed to the land, would have been better.
Seemed more to do at the opposite side of the island but its too far for a day trip.
Great night market down by the port and lots of fresh fish and fruit available for sale.

It’s rare I’m writing reviews. So far, I shared only 5-6. I’m writing only if it was exceptionally amazing experience or a real disaster…
It’s the first time for me to share an extremely negative experience.
When you arrive at hotel, you expect me to feel minimum trust with it
I stayed for 2 nights in this budget hotel. Usually, people traveling to Flores Island to take one of the ‘Komodo island day trips’. They will be picked up very early in the morning (5:30-6:00am). The trip operator gives clear instructions of how to prepare? what to bring? Ect.
Due to the intensity of the day structure, the traveler has to bring a breakfast box (because it will be very long, before food can be in reach).
I asked the hotel manager if they can provide it to me? She confirmed, mentioning it’s a usual procedure in that area.
5:15 I arrived at the reception… no one was there. Neither the breakfast box.
Things can happen, it’s not a big deal…
When returning back from the day trip, I asked reception to shortly talk with the hotel manager, just to understand what happened? The hotel manager refused to communicate and just disappeared until I departed the next day.
I’ve never experienced before such a behavior, specially from a hotel manager…
It raised a big big Red Flag.
Bottom line: I’ll not recommend to arrive in this hotel. Basically, It’s not to be trusted.

Labuan Bajo needs to be careful with how many resorts they are throwing up all over the place. And educate everyone to stay away form the coral and do not touch the sea life. Float and observe. No fins necessary most of the time. You can float and see more and not damage the coral with big clumsy fins.

For those who love nature, I'm really recommend especially to the Island. Everything was soo nature and nice scenery. Spend at least 3 days as to ensure the place must be visited is captured. Local are soo friendly and helpfull. Don't forget to try snorkerlling if thats a trial for anyone.
The room was really comfortable, clean and big. They served a different breakfast every day. The female staff were really friendly and helpful, I appreciated their honesty. The staff arranged some great tours, especially the day trip to Komodo and various islands. The location is ideal if you need to visit immigration to extend your visa or if you want to visit the nearby hills for a lovely view of Labuan Bajo. It sounds like the guesthouse has some good plans to improve the place further, such as installing hot water in the future
Nata is a really kind and helpful person, he helped me renting the scooter and planning my route around the island. He was pending all the time about my needs and finding a solution always.
All his suggestions were so helpful
Sunset from the place is just amazing
The place is new and beds and pillows are very comfortables
Shower and toilets are clean
I stayed in the mixed room also, and the a/c and wifi worked fine
Nice place to stat in Labuan Bajo!
Had a fantastic stay at Sunset Hill before our Komodo boat tour. We got picked up from the airport when we arrived and taken to the hotel. We had a lovely room with an absolutely beautiful view. The stocked mini bar was a nice touch as we enjoyed a cold beverage on the deck watching the sunset when we arrived. Great shuttle service into the main town offered complementary so we could go for dinner. Great service, highly recommend!
The place was amazing. We have an incredible view from balcony on the ocean, where we can watch sunset and sunrise.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They cooked for us breakfast at 4.30 am. So appreciate that. The breakfast was tasty.
The room was clean, bright and comfortable. Btw the room is cleaned every day.
We enjoy staying in this hotel. It was definitely one of the best place where i have ever stay.
The place was lovely! The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Had breakfast sent to the room promptly both days I stayed (one breakfast was at 5:00 am). The pool was so refreshing and clean with an incredible view of the sea.
Beautiful sunset views of the sea from every room!
I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Labuan Bajo, Komodo Islands.
We had the most amazing stay at Menjaga Bay. The villas are gorgeous, honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The pool and restaurant area is stunning, the walkway to the bar at the end of the pier is really cool and we had a delicious cocktail whilst watching the sunset. We loved our ocean room. Would 100% recommend if travelling to Labuan Bajo and would love to return one day!
The hotel is amazing!! A bit isolated by the main city Labuan Bajo, it offers tranquility and peace with a wonderful view in front of the sea and some small islands. We extended our stay for three more nights since the comfort is guaranteed and the staff is super nice!! They invited us for their late New Year bbq dinner at the restaurant of the hotel with an heartbreaking view 😃
Place was just what we needed for our 2 night stay in Labuan Bajo. Great location close to the port. They organised the one day Komodo island tour for us and were helpful with any requests especially when the Wifi went down they sorted it out immediately. Room was good I would recommend getting the air conditioned room plenty of space and nice to have the mosquito net.
Great location on a small island, 45min from Labuan Bajo by hotel boat. Perfect snorkelling off the hotel jetty with a surprisingly healthy house reef - better than most reefs we have visited in the Komodo National Park. Very friendly and helpful staff and probably the best dive centre in all of Indonesia - Aqura Dive, les by Pedro.
We stayed in this hotel for one night after our Komodo national park cruise and were very happy with the facilities, the food, the staff, and the convenience to get to airport.
I see how we can spend here a couple of days. It could be a nice base to explore the park or the island with short trips.
Located in the center of Labuan Bajo , this small hotel is run by very helpful staff . Good address for one night before visiting the numerous sites in Komodo
Plenty of bars and restaurants options in the vicinity
Everything was excellent. Perfect location to explore Labuan Bajo surroundings and islands.
The restaurant Baccala' in the first floor run by an Italian chef was excellent.
One of the best places I’ve stayed during the 13 years traveling. The service is really impressive, everyone is super friendly. It’s a hotel but I did feel like home.
