Highly recommended. Friendly welcome, exceptional quality throughout, perfect location for our requirements and the breakfast was spot on. The small stairs presented a challenge for my size 13 feet but that's part of the charm of the place.

Duncan was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable and just what we needed. Having stayed on Easter Sunday, in the morning we were left an Easter egg each which was a lovely gesture!

The Torrent Walk campsite is located in a beautiful area just outside the town of Dolgellau. It has good road access to local mountains as well as the town of Barmouth and the seashore. The campsite was very quiet and well maintained, with excellent facilities such as showers and toilets. There was also a communal area allowing barbecue and a separate campfire and a kitchen with refrigerator inside.

Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town. The weather didn't allow us to explore close surroundingds as we wished.
The town itself has got plenty of pubs, cafes, gift shops, art shops.
The people we met so friendly.
The cherry on the cake is a second hand book shop. The books there just incredible!

The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. Garden unkempt and garden furniture rusty.

Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! The wonderful village of Portmeirion [famous for it's use in the 60's TV series 'The Prisoner'] is not too far away either

Great walking - either flat to Barmouth, or up the mountain. A great selection of pubs, all serving good beer, and a decent curry house (the Lemon Grass - but cash only and BYOB). Has everything you need for a few days away.

Beautiful thriving little market town with lots of unique shops, as well as a few staples, and a big Spar. The restuarant that we went to (Y Sospan) was amazing. You don't need a car to get around town, and if you bring your bikes or walking gear, the estuary and mountains are yours for the views and swimming.

A lovely little town with many attractive shops and restaurants.
We visited the tapas bar more than once.
The food was delicious.
It is an ideal location for exploring the Snowdonia area and for going south to Mid-Wales.
Lovely spacious apartment within the main building. Nice bedroom with comfy bed. Large living room and dining area with good facilities and a decent size tv which makes a change from the tiny ones you usually get. Great location just outside of Dolgellau centre with lovely views. Neal and Seraf fantastic hosts, made to feel very welcome and even lent us a rucksack to go up to the Mach Loop and see the planes which we were very lucky to see a flight of F-35’s. Would definitely recommend.
Found this place last minute on Booking.com after I felt the need for a break and to be close the sea.
A great find indeed !
My two children and I stayed in the "Stables" and it has everything you could possibly need for a holiday, full cooking facilities, fridge, freezer, large dining table, 3 bedrooms, including one with en suite. Lounge area. And absolutely wonderful views ! Only a 15 minute drive to the beach
We felt, safe, happy and cosy !
Can't wait to return!
Perfect location in centre of Dolgellau. Great communication from the hosts, and totally accommodating of all our requests. Charming and very old building, with lots of interesting features, and a grand history. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into giving guests a good experience.
Breakfast was great, with attention given to specific requests. Very good value for money, and would highly recommend if visiting the area and looking for accommodation.
Beautiful apartment very clean and cosy right in centre of Dolgellau. Everything has been thought of and more, it couldn't be better equipped. The parking permit for the nearby car park is great and very handy for other car parks on days out.
Anna communicated quickly and was really helpful. Easy check in and clear instructions on how everything worked.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Nick was so friendly with such a warm accommodating attitude, As I went climbing near by, he phone to check in when it got late to make sure I was safe, I missed breakfast the next morning, but he so kindly left me a nice bacon roll for when I returned.
Everything. Was made to feel welcome as soon as we went through the door. Pot of tea and Welsh cake on arrival was a lovely touch.Caroline and Kevin were so friendly . Breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and cooked fresh. Ideal place to stay for seeing different parts of North Wales.
The hotel manager, Kasia, was an absolute delight. Her grace and charm added immensely to our visit. The location was near hiking trails and a delightful pub across the 30 pence walking bridge. The view from the grounds was outstanding across the estuary.

The location is fantastic the gardens lovely. The hotel is very dog friendly and provides really good accommodation for dogs. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Staff are excellent, relaxed and friendly.
On the off set the accommodation was set in a really nice area with lovely scenery. The staff seemed very pleasant (when you could get them) and helpful. The design of the place was nice, just run down in a lot of places.
We chose Glasfryn for its location as we wanted to climb Cader Idris on Saturday.
The property is in Dolgellau close to cafes, pubs and shops. From the description it looked cosy and it was just that. Lovely.
The staff, the food, the comfort was all outstanding. I have no doubt that the owners will manage to fix this hotel as the first 6star accommodation in Wales. I can not fault their devotion to this aim.
Just outside Dolgellau, less thanm10 mins in car. We had 3 rooms including a triple. Good little kitchen and lounge area in the kitchen. Would be great for a longer stay. Very comfortable and clean.
