Thomas is the best host ever. I went in July and it was such a nice stay. Very easy to connect with people, cook some dinner together, take surfclasses .. There was a real cosy and warm vibe in the hostel. At night it was the perfect place to have a laugh, a drink and some talks with Thomas or other guests. Felt like one big family. 💚🌻 even considering going back.

I enjoyed staying at the hotel on the beach, unfortunately...
I enjoyed staying at the hotel on the beach, unfortunately the town and area is undergoing roadworks, and once I was able to navigate round them to the hotel, it didn't effect my stay. There are plenty of places to eat and lots of lovely shops to browse around.Rebecca - 10Scored 10

This was not our first visit to Lacanau, we will certainly come again as we really like it. But probably not in the high season, Can be very crowded at weekends and parking is limited. We usually come in the spring or at the tail end of the season, There is a great variety of restaurants from seafood to pizza and which fit all budgets - all within walking distance of eachother. Great beach, surfing clubs. lively at night.

Great location, easy to eat out or self cater, far enough from the centre to not hear the night life as much. Town has plenty of shops and restaurants and night life if you looking for it. Enormous sandy beach great for surfing, lots of surf schools around. Good bars serving tapas and cocktails very close by. Good selection of restaurants for all budgets. Lots of takeaway food available. Very good place for youngsters. Would be concerned about swimming as its the ocean and there was no lifeguard on duty but i believe they do have supervised bathing in the high season. If you are not a surfer, there are loads of designated cycling paths which go through the lovely pine forests. Its great for walkers too. Nearby lakes have facilities for sailing and windsurfing and there is golf about 5kilometeres out of town.Teresa MagillUnited Kingdom

It is ideally positioned in Lacanau-Ocean within walking distance to all the main targets: 1 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the centre and main streets, 3 min walk to the supermarket, next to surf school where you can either books lessons or rent boards. Despite being close to all the amenities, it is still on the sides to have a quite night. There is a view of the ocean directly from the apartment. Free parking included. Overall - great place to stay.

The photos are accurately depicting the rooms. Host and concierge are very friendly and easy to reach/communicate with. Bakery and surf school and supermarket and main street are in walking distance. We plan to come back next year!
