Nice and helpful staff. My fridge didn't work but someone from maintenance fixed it right away. I needed some cutlery, someone from the restaurant brought it. I asked front desk for recommendations for tours and they were happy to help.

Easy to walk from Old Town to New Town (30 min) There are city buses but I have no experience Many lakes to walk on, Ice cave to visit. Prince of Wales Regional Museum worth a trip - much to see Plan for Snowking Festival in March Avoid Northern Light Tour company Surprisingly, the grocery stores offered the same prices as Vancouver, and the restaurants weren't much more expensive than home.

Yellowknife is a remote location.
Yellowknife is a remote location. So you expect expensive food and accommodation, but we were disappointed to find lack-luster service. If you are looking for reasonably nice accommodations, expect to pay north of $300per night. Booking anything cheaper will disappoint. The scenery, of course is one of a kind amazing! Just don't get your expectations too high when it comes to service.

I like the old town, just like bring me back to the old Yellowknife with heritage houses still standing there. Its convenient to take bus route A B C to get around the old and new town. Lots of restaurant along the Franklin Ave, A town where you wont miss to see the mother nature Northern Light. You will love it if you like winter outdoor activities

We stayed at Yellowknife B&B and used Aurora Village for our tours. We highly recommend both of these to anyone traveling here!! We cooked our meals (saved a ton of time and money) and had 1 stop shopping with our tours. This was a trip of a lifetime and we enjoyed every minute!

Great Place to see the Northern Lights and other activities like Dog Sledging and fishing. Also plenty of places to have great food. The local brewery is also good! People in General were nice and helpful. Beware of the temperatures in the winter!!

It’s so beautiful. Everyone is nice and friendly. We highly recommend the Bullock bistro. Food is so yummy. We also join the Artic Tour Canada for aurora hunting. The tour guid is professional and we really saw the aurora.

There was always parking available, which wasn't the case at other hotels, so I appreciated that. It's in the same parking lot as Marks, Tim Hortons and Walmart, which was very convenient. I appreciated that there was a microwave and fridge in the hotel room. The staff were kind. The rooms were over $260 a night which I find outrageous, so it wasn't exactly what I would typically expect from a Super 8 hotel. Elevator was quick enough so we didn't spend much time waiting for it.
