It is new and modern and yet retain some Japanese elements, like a tatami floor in the sitting area. It is clean and attends to details such as providing a lot of sockets for electrical appliances. Stand alone hotel on top of a hill overlooking Tokushima city. No traffic, it is a kind of nature reserve. I had a huge tatami room with panoramic windows. Very nice public bath. The room did have a private bathroom but no shower - Ryokan style.
