The staff is very friendly and caring. They facility is and old charming ryokan, and actually whole place felt magical. Even the outside noises were not able to spoil the charm of this place. If I ever come back to Ise I'm for sure try to book this place again.

The Kii No Matsushima ryokan is a unique Japanese experience. The place is perfect for discovering the coast (the beach is 200 meters away) but especially if you want to do one of the many sections of Kumano path. The family who runs this ryokan were extremely attentive to every detail of our stay. The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The common areas are very clean, the bathrooms have a small onsen which is very pleasant at the end of the day! The highlight of the stay is the meals and breakfasts. The chef is a master of Japanese cuisine! Each dish transported us during the three nights we spent here, a treat! Local specialties are based on seafood and fish. We tasted many new flavors, always balanced and refined. We highly recommend this peaceful place, and hope to return.

I really like this place. The female owner has an inquisitive mind, a warm personality, and a kind heart. Her English is good enough to communicate and ask for help. The sauna and the private onsen in the room are top-notch. I did not check the public onsen with natural hot spring, but heard it's amazing too. I booked the 5th floor with an ocean view, and the private onsen experience during starry night and the set rise were indeed amazing! The hotel itself is located in a remote little cute fish town called osatsucho, where you can find fishmen and women harvesting and selling the Ise lobsters in the morning by the port. It was a very unique and interesting experience to stay in that little town for two days during the winter when it was not crowded at all. The nearest convenience store is 10 + miles away. It was a very natural, grounding, even retreat-like experience to me, and it was drastically different from my experience in Tokyo, Nayoga, or Osaka. I did spot a few demolished houses with broken windows in the town, not sure if it's because of COVID or during the winter when there were fewer tourists. The big plus is the Shinmei shrine next door to the hotel, which is a very calming and spiritual place to visit and stay for a bit too.

Staff is very friendly and treat you with so much respect, driving you up and down the mountain and providing a free iced drink when you go out.

Featuring public baths with views of Ise Bay and a Japanese restaurant, Oishiya is a 5-minute drive from JR Futaminoura Train Station. The traditional rooms have an attached bathroom. Just a great experience. Very delicious dinner and breakfast. All staff very friendly.

Hinode Ryokan är ett boende i japansk stil med historisk charm som ligger endast 2 minuters promenad från Iseshis tågstation. Ise-jingus helgedoms Geku (yttre helgedom) ligger 5 minuters promenad... Welcome is fantastic. We could get the room at 1pm. The room is large and very traditional. we leave for two nights like Japanese. The bathroom experiment was new for us. We enjoy after the long journey. The location of the hotel is just close to the train station, very easy to reach Nagoya and Toba. The breakfast was well served in a dining room

Ama har en säsongsöppen utomhuspool och varma källbad. No Shima ligger i Toba, 1,2 km från Toba akvarium. Här finns även en bar. The hotel really nice and the staff is also friendly and help us a lot.
