The place is truly authentic, ppl may describe it as old but it's can't be more wrong. I would describe it as rustic and serene, especially with the river beside it. Yes!! A running river, not much of a great sight but the sound of flowing water bring peace to your soul. Also, there's a private and excusive onsen beside the river, you just have to reserve it. Now to the most important aspect, the staff of Seiryuso.The hotel manager, Kajiki san set the benchmark for top notch hospitality. He has a bubbling personality, always giving out good vibes and positive energy. Always ready to serve and provide service. Always service with a smile.😊😊😊. Well, Japanese are known to provide great service but this is a whole other level. A special shout-out to the restaurant crew, specifically the service staff, didn't manage to get all their names other than matsuyi san. Kudos to the other gentlemen that provided the service.

Yurian ligger i Ibusuki, 10 km från Ibusuki Onsen. Här finns även en pool och varma källor. Poolen och de varma källorna byts 2 gånger om dagen. Alla rum har platt-TV, kaffebryggare och vattenkokare. All their staff were very warm, friendly and super helpful. Love the Spring onsen plus a separate spring swimming pool in the villa. Amazing views!!

Beautiful property by the sea. Room was clean, comfortable and huge with sea view, kaiseki seafood dinner and breakfast was excellent, staffs are friendly and helpful.

Hanon～波音～ ligger i Tatsugo, 13 minuters promenad från Kurasaki strand, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en bar. It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help. The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Kirishima miyama hotel ligger i Kirishima, 8,9 km från Kirishima Jingu Shrine, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. The room is a basic tatami room with futon. What makes this place stand out to me are the numerous bath houses…there are 3 outdoor baths as well as an indoor bath. All can be accessed privately with a key system which makes it very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very kind and polite.

Rainbow Sakurajima ligger i Kagoshima och erbjuder en restaurang. WiFi är gratis. Alla rum har luftkonditionering. Det finns även en vattenkokare. I det egna badrummet finns en hårtork. A very nice Japanese style hotel right by the ferry terminal.

Nakahara Bessou ligger 5 minuters promenad från spårvagnshållplatsen Tenmonkandori och erbjuder boende i japansk och västerländsk stil med platt-TV och uppfriskande offentliga varma källor. Everything was just perfect. Fabulous location, staff and facilities. Loved the gentle renovation, it has kept its ryokan style. Loved the decor of our room, it gave it a really nice atmosphere.

Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. very nice location and public bath, room facing the sea

Ryokan Kawakyu ligger 8 minuters bilresa från tågstationen JR Ibusuki. Här erbjuds rum i japansk stil med utsikt över floden Nivanda, grönt te och traditionella futonsängar. The Staff was very welcoming and helpful, starting with kindly greeting us at Ibusuki train station and generously providing a ride to the ryokan. Loved the traditional tatami room and wonderful hot springs (even with a private bath area). The owner was very responsive to communication via Booking message app and also has very strong English so all went smoothly. Breakfast on site was very good and convenient since restaurants are primarily near the station.
