Kirishima Momijidani Seiryuso ligt in Kirishima, op 9,2 km van Kirishima Jingu Shrine, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The place is truly authentic, ppl may describe it as old but it's can't be more wrong. I would describe it as rustic and serene, especially with the river beside it. Yes!! A running river, not much of a great sight but the sound of flowing water bring peace to your soul. Also, there's a private and excusive onsen beside the river, you just have to reserve it. Now to the most important aspect, the staff of Seiryuso.The hotel manager, Kajiki san set the benchmark for top notch hospitality. He has a bubbling personality, always giving out good vibes and positive energy. Always ready to serve and provide service. Always service with a smile.😊😊😊. Well, Japanese are known to provide great service but this is a whole other level. A special shout-out to the restaurant crew, specifically the service staff, didn't manage to get all their names other than matsuyi san. Kudos to the other gentlemen that provided the service.

Yurian ligt in Ibusuki, op 10 km van Ibusuki Onsen. Er is een zwembad en een warmwaterbronbad op het terrein. Het zwembad en de warmwaterbronnen worden 2 keer per dag vervangen. All their staff were very warm, friendly and super helpful. Love the Spring onsen plus a separate spring swimming pool in the villa. Amazing views!!

Beautiful property by the sea. Room was clean, comfortable and huge with sea view, kaiseki seafood dinner and breakfast was excellent, staffs are friendly and helpful.

Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen is aantrekkelijk gelegen in de wijk Hinatayama Onsen in Kirishima, en bevindt zich op 47 km van station Kagoshima-Chūō, 48 km van station Kagoshima en 15 km van Kirishima... I wish we stayed here longer. This is where we stayed when we arrived from Kagoshima Airport. Absolutely beautiful place with helpful staff. Best breakfast we had in Japan! The onsen in the room was amazing!

It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help. The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Rainbow Sakurajima ligt in Kagoshima en biedt een restaurant. Er is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. Alle kamers zijn voorzien van airconditioning. Er is ook een waterkoker. A very nice Japanese style hotel right by the ferry terminal.

Nakahara Bessou ligt op 5 minuten lopen van het tramstation Tenmonkandori en biedt Japanse en westerse accommodatie met een flatscreen-tv en verfrissende openbare warmwaterbronnen. The staff are very friendly and make great efforts to help. The hotel is traditional with kind of unhurried pace and subtle respect to guests. Location is best especially for visitors on short visits to Kagoshima.

Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. It had a calm and relaxing atmosphere that allowed me to unwind and disconnect from the outside world. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, and the multi-course dinners were presented with stunning detail and tasted amazing.

Ryokan Kawakyu ligt op 8 minuten rijden van het JR-treinstation van Ibusuki en biedt kamers in Japanse stijl met uitzicht op de rivier de Nitanda, groene thee en traditionele futonbedden. Ibusuki was a bit too quiet (not a single sand bath open) when we visited but our stay at Kawakyu was what made it a good trip. You get to bathe in onsen water when you arrive, a few meters away from your room. The ryokan hosts were very nice and helped with rides, as it's tricky to go around without a car. Overall we're very happy to have picked this place.
