The place is truly authentic, ppl may describe it as old but it's can't be more wrong. I would describe it as rustic and serene, especially with the river beside it. Yes!! A running river, not much of a great sight but the sound of flowing water bring peace to your soul. Also, there's a private and excusive onsen beside the river, you just have to reserve it. Now to the most important aspect, the staff of Seiryuso.The hotel manager, Kajiki san set the benchmark for top notch hospitality. He has a bubbling personality, always giving out good vibes and positive energy. Always ready to serve and provide service. Always service with a smile.😊😊😊. Well, Japanese are known to provide great service but this is a whole other level. A special shout-out to the restaurant crew, specifically the service staff, didn't manage to get all their names other than matsuyi san. Kudos to the other gentlemen that provided the service.

Yurian er staðsett í Ibusuki, 10 km frá Ibusuki Onsen. Það er sundlaug og hverabað á staðnum. Skipt er um vatn í sundlauginni og heita hveravatni 2 sinnum á dag. All their staff were very warm, friendly and super helpful. Love the Spring onsen plus a separate spring swimming pool in the villa. Amazing views!!

Iseebisou er staðsett í Ibusuki, 49 km frá Kagoshima-stöðinni og 17 km frá Chiran-friðarsafninu. Boðið er upp á garð og fjallaútsýni. Beautiful property by the sea. Room was clean, comfortable and huge with sea view, kaiseki seafood dinner and breakfast was excellent, staffs are friendly and helpful.

Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen er með hverabað og loftkæld gistirými í Kirishima, 47 km frá Kagoshima Chuo-stöðinni, 48 km frá Kagoshima-stöðinni og 15 km frá Kirishima Jingu-helgiskríninu. I wish we stayed here longer. This is where we stayed when we arrived from Kagoshima Airport. Absolutely beautiful place with helpful staff. Best breakfast we had in Japan! The onsen in the room was amazing!

Hanon～波音～ has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Tatsugo, 1.1 km from Kurasaki Beach. 30 km from Amami Marine Exhibition Hall, the ryokan offers a garden and a bar. It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help. The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Kirishima miyama hotel er staðsett í Kirishima, aðeins 8,9 km frá Kirishima Jingu-helgiskríninu. Boðið er upp á gistirými í Kirishima með aðgangi að baði undir berum himni, garði og farangursgeymslu. The food was so so so good. Its very impress, all dishes no matter dinner and breakfast all very good and yummy,

Rainbow Sakurajima er staðsett í Kagoshima og býður upp á veitingastað. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði. Öll herbergin eru með loftkælingu. Hraðsuðuketill er einnig til staðar. A very nice Japanese style hotel right by the ferry terminal.

Nakahara Bessou er í 5 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Tenmonkandori-sporvagnastöðinni og býður upp á gistirými í japönskum og vestrænum stíl með flatskjá og hressandi almenningsböðum. The staff are very friendly and make great efforts to help. The hotel is traditional with kind of unhurried pace and subtle respect to guests. Location is best especially for visitors on short visits to Kagoshima.

Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. The whole experience was wonderful. Dinner was abundant, onsen facilities were great and the room was huge!

Ryokan Kawakyu er í japönskum stíl og býður upp á útsýni yfir ána Nitanda, grænt te og hefðbundin futon-rúm. Það er í 8 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá JR Ibusuki-lestarstöðinni. Ibusuki was a bit too quiet (not a single sand bath open) when we visited but our stay at Kawakyu was what made it a good trip. You get to bathe in onsen water when you arrive, a few meters away from your room. The ryokan hosts were very nice and helped with rides, as it's tricky to go around without a car. Overall we're very happy to have picked this place.
