Located a 7-minute walk from Gosho Lake, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers free WiFi and indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. JR Morioka Train Station is a 25-minute drive from the property. It is a very convenient that there’s indoor spring pool. The food was very good, we stayed 2 nights, and they changed the menu. I even think they upgraded. I love traditional spring hotel. The service is person to person feel very warm.

Located in Kitakami, 42 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Yasuragino Yado -Iyashino Yu- provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I didn't take the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Location was good for me since I wanted to walk everyday.

Hamabeno Ryouriyado Houraikan provides a public bath and an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kamaishi, 1.3 km from Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium. Small Ryokan. Well located near the sea. Excellent food. Nice room and wonderful Onsen on the roof with a sea-view. on the evening, we listened to the Lady owner telling us her own story surviving the 2011 tsunami and helping dozen of people the following days. Her story was really emotional and she is a true heroine. I am glad we met her and I am very happy to spend one night in this hotel to help local economy.

Located in Hanamaki, 29 km from Morioka, Kashoen features a hot spring bath and sauna. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. Five star service in a five star ryokan. Worth the price. Free yukata with different sizes and design available for guests. Very peaceful ryokan. Wish we could stay longer to explore the surrounding nature. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was amazing. Staff was so attentive to our requests and took the time asking about our dietary requirements. Massage chairs available for guests to use. Loved the Indoor and outdoor public bath. Highly recommended for those who wants a luxury ryokan experience.

Apikogen Mori no Hotel, a property with an open-air bath and a shared lounge, is set in Hachimantai, 46 km from Morioka Station, 70 metres from Appi Kogen Ski Resort, as well as 31 km from... The hospitality and service of the staff is unparalleled. If anyone embodies the spirit of Japanese people, it is the staff in Mori no Hotel. Wen above and beyond their duties and did more than expected nor even requested.

Hotel provides complimentary shuttle from Morioka Station and then back. Food served at dinner and breakfast were very fresh and authentic.

Offering a children's playground and hot spring bath, Hachimantai Resort Hotel & Spa is situated in Hachimantai. Free private parking is available on site. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV. Amazing room and great location. We had the pleasure to try sulfur onsen and it was really great. Such a nice relaxing time in this hotel.
