The location is about a 20 min walk to the central area and about a 30 min walk to the Hida Folk Village so the location isn’t too bad if you’re planning to see both. The staff is beyond excellent, extremely polite, friendly and welcoming. We had the Japanese breakfast which was really delicious. I loved how big our room was, it was all well worth the stay.

The room, the yukatas, the ambience, the fact that look like is brand new construction but in a traditional aesthetic. A dream.

It was great staying in a traditional Japanese home from the 1600's. Dinner and breakfast were served to our "house" and the onsen was great as well. It is nice spending some time away from a city or town. You are surrounded by nature!

The Onsen were amazing and your rooms even made us stay the whole afternoon inside because we just felt like home. Thank you! Our stay was exceptionally great!

Yatsusankan ligger 6 minutters gang fra JR Hidokoukawa Station og tilbyder indkvartering i traditionel japansk stil med rummelige offentlige bade. Everything was incredible. The room with the Mountain View was beautiful. I spent so much time in the open air bath and it was so relaxing. The Kaiseki meals were some of the best and most authentic meals I ever had. The staff is so lovely too. Every detail was perfect, down to them waving goodbye to us as we left. Highly recommend!!!

You do not stay here for all the mod cons of a new hotel. You stay for an experience in an old-fashioned ryokan, a wonderful family running the place, a glorious onsen, and sensational breakfast. I've been twice now, and would stay again.
