L'Oyado Koto No Yume es troba a 2 minuts a peu de l'estació de Takayama i ofereix habitacions d'estil japonès amb un toc de color. L’atenció del personal va ser molt bona. Les habitacions eren d’estil japonès, molt maques. Hi ha la possibilitat de reservar 40 min pels banys privats, molt recomenable si vols privacitat.

Situated 1.5 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Takayama, boasting a garden, a shared lounge and private parking. The ryokan is awesome! An excellent experience beyond our expectations. The staff is extremely nice and friendly and always ready to help if needed. Try the Japanese breakfast! It is a unique experience.

Offering a shared lounge and quiet street view, Toraya is set in Gero, 48 km from Takayama Station and 49 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Super nice, clean and cosy hotel with supportive staffs. Location is a bit far from station but very close to central area.

Offering a garden and garden view, Nagataki is located in Nakatsugawa, 13 km from Ōi and 34 km from Japan Taisho Village. The property is allergy-free and is situated 12 km from Enakyo Wonderland. This accommodation is 400 years old and managed by the 15th generation now. The history is very special. Even the formal emperor staid at this accommodation. You can really experience the authentic Japanese life. Food was delicious, the best food we had in Japan untill now. We hear that the chef build his cooking skills at a Michelin star restaurant and that is what you see and taste at the food. When we arrived we were (as both having back problems) worried about the traditions futon beds, but this was no problem at all! Nice to do from here is the Nakasendo walk from Magome to Tsumago. The hotel helped us with a useful map and arrange a transfer for us to the starting point.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Shiroyamakan offers accommodation in Shirakawa, 1.4 km from Shirakawago. Free private parking is available on site. The entire property is non-smoking. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Our stay was absolutely brilliant with great food, beautiful authentic room, onsen with amazing view, great food and the nicest staff.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

Founded in 1860, Juhachiro is located along Nagara River and boasts indoor and outdoor natural hot spring baths. The property is a 15-minute bus ride from Gifu Train Station. The staff is amazing, went above and beyond for us. We had a Japanese style room with a river view, it was great. The dinner was perfect, and so is the Onsen.

Awarded by TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice in 2015, Wanosato offers luxurious Japanese-style ryokan stay in a 160-year-old quaint Gassho-zukuri thatched-roof house, nestled in the tranquil woods. Smooth travelling and pick up. Japanese original breakfast was very good recommend to try

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. This ryokan was gorgeous and a place you can really experience Japanese "omotenashi", the service was exceptional. We pulled up in our car to be greeted by someone to welcome us, take our bags, and park the car. We were led into a beautiful waiting room to fill out our paperwork and were given fresh matcha and sweets. Then we were given a lovely tour and found our bags waiting for us in the room, which was massive and beautifully decorated. The onsen was lovely and the relaxation room had free massage chairs to enjoy. The whole ryokan is traditionally decorated and so fun to explore as it seemed there were new rooms and hallways everywhere. The breakfast, both Japanese and western were also delicious. I highly recommend this Ryokan for their stellar service and relaxing atmosphere.
