Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. - Very charming ryokan conveniently situated within walking distance from the JR Nanokamachi station and in close proximity to attractions like the Noguchi Hideyo Seishun Street and the Suehiro Sake Brewery. - The meals (dinner and breakfast) were the highlight of my stay. Having told the staff in advance that I had food allergies, they went above and beyond to servemeals for me that were safe for me to eat but also very delicious. The variety of dishes served was impressive. The staff also offered to create onigiri (rice balls) out of my unfinished breakfast. - The staff were very warm and accommodating and their interactions with guests contributed to the ryokan's very homely atmosphere. As a thoughtful gesture they gave me an akabeko keychain upon checkout as a souvenir - The private hinoki bath was a delight (note: you have to book it in advance during check-in) - The futon in my room was exceptionally fluffy and I slept really well

17 km from Koriyama Station, Tabist Onsen Petit Hotel Yukori Bandai Atami is a recently renovated property located in Koriyama and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The room was big and very nice. There were extra blankets in the closet. The staff were all helpful and very kind. The location is near the station if you come by train. I went by car and there was lots of parking. The water available was great. Nice after a bath.

Boasting hot spring baths with mountain views, Kutsurogijyuku Chiyotaki is a 15-minute bus ride from JR Aizuwakamatsu Station. Breakfast is excellent. So many type and variety of food. nice display and service. Onsen on 10 floor is nice and less crowded ( specially in the morning) than other hotels.

Featuring 4 hot spring baths with free flowing spring water, Kutsurogijyuku Shintaki offers accommodation located a 15-minute bus ride from JR Aizuwakamatsu Station. There are three bath options which all came with lovely views! Also, both meals were outstanding. Despite being a buffet service, the breakfast had abundant high quality options. I love that they really stuck to their theme of using Aizu ingredients - a proud hotel with pride for their local culture is something admirable.

Set in Aizuwakamatsu, 500 metres from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen, Onyado Toho features free WiFi access and free private parking. I like the staffs, the they are very nice and help us to take beautiful photo! The room is big and it has a nice city view. The view of the onsen are really good 👍🏻

It’s a beautiful hotel nestled into the hillside by the river. The reception area is amazing, especially with the Shamisen lady is playing. The traditional rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

The pictures do not do the onsen at this ryokan justice. We arrived later than I had hoped because our car's navigation lead us in the wrong direction, but the staff never made us feel guilty and helped us to check in. Our room was Japanese style with a great view of the garden and the ravine the river flows into. My tween found the futons very comfy. They worked with our dietary restrictions to make a wonderful multi-course Japanese meal, though I admit, I think I still liked the tempura course best. My tween slept through breakfast, but I really liked the fruit smoothie, which was lighter than I expected. The onsen are amazing here. There is the very traditional looking bathes overlooking a waterfall as well as two other floors of onsen, some of which rotate between men and women. Most of the onsen are also quite deep. My only regrets are we arrived late and couldn't explore the town and that I didn't buy the special chopsticks for sale here.
