Located in Aomori, 21 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 15 km from Aomori Station, Tsubakikan offers a garden and air conditioning. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Incredibly hospitable service. Great breakfast. Very clean and overall great expereince.

Hotel Apple Land features a sauna and free private parking, and is within 36 km of Sannai-Maruyama site and 42 km of Lake Towada. Impressed how clean and well maintained their hotel is.Bonus points with their unlimited apple juice and alcohol drinks.Nice onsens.Family enjoyed to the fullest

Surrounded by lush nature on Mount Hakkoda, Tsuta Onsen Ryokan offers a hot spring bath, Japanese cuisine and a free shuttle to/from Shichinohe-Towada. I didn’t regret for booking 2N here. It’s not cheap but there’s some which are even more expensive… We paid ¥58908 half board ( dinner +breakfast) each night for a couple. They’ve a welcome drink ( apple juice n coffee) daily. There’s a large relaxing room with comfortable chairs for you to admire the garden n ice-creams ( though very small ones) provided n water . We were given 15 min onsen free for couple-room which you can paid for 1-hr usage if you like to spend longer time with your spouse. They’ve gender segregated onsen for hotel guests free. The meals are just heavenly. Staff are helpful n friendly n can speak some English ( very important for non-locals like us who don’t speak n understand Japanese ) Definitely will come back if visiting this place again. Lastly want to thank Tsuta Onsen Ryokan and Booking.com for their alliance together so that I can book confidently without worry ( some ryokans only book via their website n it’s all in Japanese 😅🤣🥹) . Boasting a garden and views of city, Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN is a ryokan set in a historic building in Ōwani, 42 km from Lake Towada. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! They helped me securely store my bike and when I first got on the room they brought me a thermos with boiled water so I could have some tea immediately. The onsen itself was small but was pretty empty whenever I went, with good opening hours to suit all lifestyles.

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fukaura, a few steps from Furofushi Onsen. Bath in an outdoor onsen next to the ocean while seeing sunset is a once-in-a-life time experience.

Situated in Aomori and only 20 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, Yadoya Tsubaki features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very nice ryokan, with good private and public onsen available. The room was more than enough, with fresh towels and yukata each day I stayed. The staff were very nice, and I was able to ask them about certain things with combinations of English, Japanese and translation apps. I got injured before coming here sp the location is a bit far away from things, but very close to the station (2 minutes?). Note: not a negative as I chose this location because of the location originally.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Beautiful tatami room, stunning scenery, relaxing baths, and the best dinner and breakfast I’ve ever had! Very much worth the trip.

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. Perfect location. Friendly hostess. Limited bathrooms but didn’t bother me. Nice room with nice price.

Boasting a spa bath, Tabinoyado Saikawa is situated in Kuroishi. This 3-star ryokan provides a spa experience, with its spa facilities and beauty services. The breakfast is best! We have been in so many full board resorts in Japan. Here is the best home cooked breakfast. Better than namy luxurious resort in the region. Love the wooden floor of the hotel, it creative & unique. The host was best, friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to her new resort near by.

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. If you like Japanese food, onsen, quiet atmosphere, than stay here on meal inclusive rate. I did nothing but relaxing, since there is not much to do in this small village, outskirts of City of Aomori.
