Everything was beyond perfect. The Matsuko family are the most amazing hosts and provided an experience that will long live in our memories. The fact that it had snowed the night before added to the magic of this place. Takuya-san the father was a very jovial man with an incredible philosophy on life which he shared on our personal and entertaining tour of the village in his van. He then prepared the most amazing food we had on our Japan trip. I encourage anyone thinking of travelling to Shirakawa-go to stay here and support this incredible family.

Beautiful hotel, with the view on the water. Traditional and very quiet for relaxation. The price is worth it with the dinner included since there is nothing open at night for dinner. Nice Onsen. I will come back!
