Montagu truly is a hidden gem on Route 62. We only stayed one night to short-cut the long drive but the place exceeded our expectations. Joseph gave as an excellent check-in accompanied with a great sense of humour and booked us a dinner; just in case as most of restaurants are closed on a Sunday. Probably the best breakfast we had in South Africa and we travelled this country extensively. The owner cares about her guests; and this was also a very positive experience.

We had a nice stay at this boutique hotel. Everything is beautifully designed and very modern. We especially liked the garden with the pool. The location of the hotel could not be better, you are right in the center of Montagu and everything is within walking distance. Also the staff is really friendly and nice. Our room was very clean and modernly furnished. The bathroom with shower was large and clean. It is really a very nice and modern boutique hotel.

Beautiful small hotel in the midst of a vineyard in the centre of Montagu. Rooms were very comfortable, each with private verandah with a view, and breakfast was lovely. Estelle was most welcoming and helpful, offering us advice on restaurants and rock climbing in the area (the hotel even offered to lend us climbing equipment) and allowing us a late check-out, which we really appreciated. Made our visit to Montagu a real treat!

Lovely family run hotel in the centre of Montagu. Included safe off-street parking. Close to shops, restaurants, and other places of interest. The room was big and included a full kitchen with all extras, eg, snacks, salt, pepper etc. Astrid communicated very well. We had a fantastic meal in the hotel. Excellent and friendly service. We were very sorry to leave. Will definitely stay at The Vic Hotel again.

The welcoming basket of all locally sourced goodies ie. rusk, biscuits, dried fruit, chocolate and delicious bread rolls is something different I have not experienced at any other self stay apartment. And all this at no extra cost. Please keep up this excellent idea. I just came through for a cycle race but would like to come back to Montagu for longer stay.

A delightful hotel with very attentive staff and an excellent restaurant that served delicious steaks and superb breakfasts. The rooms in the old hotel had a wonderful period feel and we felt we were part of the lovely town of Montagu. We experienced our first load shedding when we were there, but Bernie ensured it had no impact on our stay. Well done.

Well located hotel with beautiful interior. Really nice restaurant and bar area and nice 'backyard' garden area with a spa and two swimming pools. Good value for money and a relaxing hub from where to explore Montagu. PS - See the tourism hub at the Hotel for activities on offer in the town.

Nice clean and comfortable room, TV with many different channels, pamphlets with information about Montagu. Coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave oven in room and access to house kitchen for cooking if necessary. Very good location with historical buildings all within walking distance.

Very tasteful lodge in Montagu center, Interieurs old South African style, e.g I appreciated to have a fan instead of air-conditioning. Great brekkie. Owners Ann and Mike very friendly, I ebem got a tour through Ferrari miniature collection Thanks for the great stay

This is a lovely place to stay in Montague but its a bit pricey for what it is. The cosmetic line that is sold in the shop, is excellent and a recommended buy. Breakfast was good also and mostly prepared a la minute.

We loved the cosy little apartment located in a very quiet and peaceful part of Montagu. Spotless and filled with all the necessary amenities and more, we were very impressed.

We were warmly welcomed by the hosts and given lots of options to explore Montagu. The apartment gave us plenty of privacy and is big enough.

The Heated pool was awesome and refreshing. The staff there was friendly and I could not ask for a better and relaxing place.

Great value for money, the cottage we stayed in were modern and neat, and had everything we could need. Rainbow Glen is also pet friendly, which is great.

Si beautifull and so quiet !!! The staff is very kind and attentive. The landscape is wonderfull !!!!

Absolute gem! Very nicely appointed, generously big rooms with extraordinary attention to details and personal touches. The estate as well as the food is top notch. Make sure to ask for a sunset Picknick with the Land Rover. Francois the General Manager also is a total beauty! Highly recommend!

The cottage we chose was quite spacious ideal for a couple. The scenery was absolutely amazing, the pool was lovely. I can definitely recommend this stay to anyone, the fresh air, peaceful, tranquility of nature. The kids will definitely love the animal's as well, big open spaces. Their small town has lovely little restaurants to try as well. Nice surrounding mountain places to drive to and have a picnic. They have the sweetest most friendliest dogs as well. We were welcomed with the most welcoming spirit.
