Well set in the La Medina district of Tunis, Dar el médina is located 17 km from Salammbo Tophet Archaeological Museum, 400 metres from Dar Lasram Museum and 500 metres from Kasbah Square. We LOVED the staff. Everyone that works there is wonderful. Shout-out to the breakfast crew and Aziz, who felt like a friend by the end of the trip. The staff honestly made our visit to Tunisia that much better because they were so enjoyable to be around and always willing to help with anything. The bed was also comfortable, the location was unbeatable, and the breakfast was wonderful. They even arranged a driver to pick us up as our flight landed at 2am. It made things so much more comfortable and easy for us.

Overall, the experience was exceptional. The hotel is a quaint repurposed house (Dar), with very friendly staff with whom we could communicate smoothly despite a language barrier. They were very cooperative and helpful. Perfect location to experience the lanes of Sidi Bou Said and its markets. The terrace is lovely and being located on top of the hill is open on three sides to the sea; evenings are especially beautiful with the sea breeze to just lounge around (on the terrace).

Had an excellent stay in this fine hotel. The room was big and clean, comfy bed, fridge and facilities to make tea/coffee in the room. Free bottles of water and service from housekeeping every day. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AND THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING. THE PROPERTY IS SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL. THE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AND THE SMELL OF THE JASMINE TREE IN THE CENTER HALLWAY WAS INCREDIBLE. I WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK.

After reading the reviews, we were hesitating, but still chose the hotel because of the location in the city centre. We knew about the club noises and it was not a problem for us. On the other hand, it's a good opportunity to enjoy some drinks and nightlife in Tunis. The rooms were clean and comfortable, had heating. The shower and toilet were ok. As written, the wifi was only available in the lobby. The location is superb, medina is just a few hundred meters away. Breakfast was simple as expected, but delicious and was a good start for the day.
