A magic place. It is a very special experience to have a great memory of Slovenia. There is nothing not to like. I would repeat St.Daniel without a doubt. The breakfast was excellent I was able to order egg of a variety of my choice which was omelette which was delicious. The variety of food was very good including sparkling wine for breakfast. Your used plates were taken away quickly and orange juice or other beverage inc sparkling wine were waiter service all good. Our room was excellent large shower room etc lovely fluffy towels etc.. we had 1 of only 2 large superior rooms with a balcony that over looked the swimming pool which we used.There was a restaurant which was excellent they also gave you a 10% discount voucher the food was amazing . Excellent parking towels available for the swimming pool for a deposit of €20 which was understandable.

Set in the heart of the Lipica stud farm with over 300 Lipizzaner horses, Hotel Maestoso offers elegant ensuite rooms. Some of them have balconies overlooking the nearby golf course. The rooms were super cool designed, with very creative solutions, and it even had weights and gym equipment in it. The breakfest was amazing and restaurant in the hotel is superb. The best part was that the famous Lipica Horse farm is basically located accross the Hotel, which is a must see visit for all.

Located in Divača, Hotel Malovec features a restaurant and provides air-conditioned accommodation just 450 metres from the A1 motorway and 500 metres from the Divaca Train Station. I have been to this hotel 3 past times and they never disappoint. Breakfast is fresh and beautiful and the staff are always so accommodating. The restaurant around the back side of the hotel is one of the best in Slovenia!! I always eat there once before leaving, sensational.

Safir Hotel Casino is a newly built complex at the Slovenian-Italian border, about 2 km from the centre of Sežana and close to a variety of attractions. The rooms are large and nicely designed, the beds comfortable and the shower hot. The figured maple veneered woodwork, the bathrobes and slippers in the closet and the large bathrooms at this hotel would be more commonly found at much much pricier establishments.

We received a wonderful welcome from Mirjana, who greeted us with a glass of her fine Teran and we felt instantly at home. Skerlj is a historic wine estate which goes back six generations to 1788; our room was cosy and full of character with beautiful old furniture. Delicious breakfasts with homemade eggs, local jams and honeys etc. Mirjana gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner both nights. A lovely place to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly cats and elderly dog. Thoroughly recommended, we can’t wait to return!
