Lucrecia and her daughter welcomed us warmly, we became part of the family for 24h. If you go to Amantani you should definitely stay at Richar’s. The house is beautiful, very closed to Occosuyo port. The rooms are comfy, colorful and our’s had a super view over the lake. Amantani is an island out of time. Lucrecia cooked for us nicely and Isabel played with us cards during the evening. Wish we could have stayed more days!

This was the best stay we had in all of our travels in Peru. José Luis met us at the dock, and walked us up to the property. At the time of this writing it is late January, and there was an abundance flowers in bloom. The property was gorgeous, and our spacious room over looked Lake Titicaca. The bed was comfortable, and the huge bathroom was spotless! The family was warm, and very easy to love! Pilar is an excellent cook! There was a separate dinning room for guests, but we preferred to eat in the family kitchen as it was so cozy. My boyfriend got the experience of harvesting potatoes, and we escorted José’s mother to get hay for the sheep. If you get to meet Fernanda you will love her. She is an absolute delight! If we could give our stay 100 stars we would!!! We will be back!

They picked us up at the port by motorbike, very nice trip around the island. The room has its own bathroom and toilet with hot water and they provide a heater for the night so we were not cold at all. They prepared lunch (quinoa soup and trout with rice and vegetables), diner (chicken with rice and vegetables) and breakfast (fried egg and pancakes) for 20 soles extra per meal per person which is extremely fair given that these were one of the best meals we had during our trip, home made by Sonia with fresh organic products.

Inca lodge - Amantani is located 37 km from Puno Port in Amantani island. Featuring a restaurant, the property also has a terrace. Every room includes a balcony. The accommodation is located in the community on the opposite side respect where the boat from Puno arrives. That's permitted to be the only tourist in this side of the island during our stay. You have to consider 20 soles per person to reach the accommodation from the pier with a motorbike. Otherwise you need at least 1 hour and 30 minute of walk. The host family is amazing, Justa prepared delicious meals and joined us for a while for the walking up to pacha mama on the top of the island. Amantanì is magic, it is a rural island surrounded by the lake. Stunning scenario where to relax and take great pictures. The night sky from the house is unforgettable.
