Our Habitas Namibia is a sanctuary located on a 47,000-hectare private estate, 45 minutes from Hosea Kutako International Airport. It features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. Beautiful setting/views, clean, tented room was very spacious and had very good insulation/heating. Rock hyrax (also referred to as dassies) just our patio we’re very cute and kept us entertained in the early evening. The bush brai dinner was spectacular in every way!

Set in large grounds by the dry Arebbusch River, Arebbusch Travel Lodge is 5 km from central Windhoek. There are outdoor pools with sun terraces, and free parking near the rooms. Breakfast was excellent, all you would expect for buffet plus eggs cooked to order, location is perfect as we wanted to leave the city early and not drive through traffic.For the price nothing needed to change.

Naankuse Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Windhoek. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Excellent stay in a sanctuary close to the airport and Windhoek. If you want to spend the first night or last night close to Windhoek, this is a great option. I would suggest to stay at least two nights to have time to participate in the various wildlife activities they offer on the premises. Corne met us with welcome drinks at the reception and gave us all the necessary information we needed for our stay. He and the rest of the staff have been very helpful and responsive. If you read my review you probably have read as well some other recent reviews, as I did and I almost cancelled my stay here. I'm so glad I didn't, because we had a wonderful stay, one night was just too short. The recent very negative reviews definitely don't do justice to this great place that has been created with a much deeper reason than just being a lodge. Don't expect a luxury lodge at the top end, but that is not what you are paying anyway. The cost is totally justified for what you get. We stayed in chalet number one, very convenient next to the main building with the restaurant, reception and common reading area. Our room was super clean and nothing was missing, everything well stocked, towels, coffee, tea and minibar. There are definitely no rats in the room, my guess is that some guests might have mistaken the rock hyrax for rats. It could happen if you leave the sliding windows to the deck open that some curious animals enter your room, the instructions to always close the doors is clearly marked, even baboons could enter and they could really mess around. But aren't the animals one of the reason why we come to visit Namibia? Just don't let them enter your room. We had a wonderful sunset horse ride which Cindy, the caretaker of the horses. She is very calm and did a wonderful job and her colleague prepared us a sundowner for our last sunset in Namibia out in the wilderness, amazing! The 4 course diner was delicious and so was the breakfast!

The Weinberg Windhoek is set in Klein Windhoek and has restaurants and free parking is available. The rooms at the Weinberg Windhoek combine old world charme with modern amenities. The hotel is located in a complex with other restaurants and the rooms overlook a central swimming pool and the main restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful and tended to the needs of guests. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern. There was a good selection at breakfast.

Situated a 5-minute drive away from the centre of Windhoek, Hotel Thule is located on a hillside and offers magnificent views over the city. It features a restaurant and bar. The staff was very friendly and take amazing care of their guests and are very welcoming. Felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was extraordinary and the chef that was on duty while I was there cooked some of the best meals I ever had. Wonderful view of the city and would def recommend the place and will come back for sure. Hands down the most welcoming and friendliest place I stayed.

AVANI Windhoek Hotel & Casino is situated in the heart of Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. It features a casino and gym. Free WiFi is available in the hotel rooms. This hotel surprised us not only with the smiling and kind personnel but also with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and various breakfast options. But the best of it was a rooftop bar serving original cocktails, hookah, meals, and a sunset view over Windhoek.
