Lovely property! Really comfortable beds and great amenities in the room. The decor is lovely. Nice big bath tub and shower. Two pools, a gym and a massive open space with benches and hammocks to enjoy. Very clean. Love the fridge which has free soft drinks and water for guests. Everything you need is available. The staff are really friendly and helpful and are always available by WhatsApp. Perfect location too in the Imago mall where there are tons of nice restaurants and lots of shops. Quiet and peaceful once inside. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Kota Kinabalu and this is by far the best!

Fascino del tropico e servizi moderni.
Base di appoggio comoda per sopratutto le escursioni alle isole del parco marino. Si trova tutto quello che serve per gestirsi al meglio le incursioni nella cucina locale o per trovare qualcosa di più vicino ai nostri gusti. La food court del Suria Sabah ha delle ottime scelte alimentari. In aggiunta a tantissimi altri ristorantini locali. Purtroppo a volte il voler mangiare nella zona del mercato dove alla sera si installano tanti street restaurant si rende poco piacevole per l'odore di fogna che proviene dal mare. Dipende da come tira il vento. Ultima annotazione. E la terza volta che vengo a KK dal 2012. Molti nuovi insediamenti, residence, palazzi di uffici tutti molto belli architettonicamente, purtroppo la pulizia lascia a desiderare. Una natura meravigliosa umiliata dalla presenza massiccia di plastica e rifiuti vari che si accumulano nel tempo. Non so' come sia il fronte mare del Sutera Harbour Resort ma tutta la parte delimitata dal canale divisorio verso la città è un misto tra cloaca e immondezzaio, un mare di plastica.

buon punto di partenza per visitare il Sabah, le isole a largo della costa (ad esempio Sapi) sono molto carine ma da non trascorrerci piu' di mezza giornata. il monte Kinabalu e' incantevole.........consiglio a tutti gli appassionati di montagna di andarci almeno una volta nella vita. (potete organizzare tranquillamente la vostra escursione autonomamente, recandovi presso l'ufficio principale del sutera sanctuary lodges a kota kinabalu, ovviamente con qualche giorno di anticipo)

La città in sè non è un gran chè.
La città in sè non è un gran chè. Sporca come tutte le città asiatiche non ancora divenute metropoli a tutti gli effetti. Soggiornare a Kota Kinabalu è quasi "obbligatorio" per chi vuole visitare i due parchi nazionali del Sabah (parco Marino e parco del Monte Kinabalu). Non è piccola come mi aspettavo: è una grande città da girare in taxi comodamente e a prezzi bassissimi. Consiglio il KK waterfront per passeggiare, pranzare/cenare, o bere qualcosa ascoltando un po' di live music. I parchi nazionali sono entrambi bellissimi: un'immersione totale nella natura. Peccato non averne goduto a pieno a causa della pioggia perenne che ci ha accompagnati durante ogni giorno del nostro viaggio.

Si tratta del classico hotel economico di buona qualità che si trova nel Sabah. Senza indulgere in lussi troverete tutto quello che serve: letti comodi, doccia funzionale, the e caffè con distributore di acqua calda e fredda nella sala comune, un ottimo impianto di aria condizionata e un wi fi stabile e potente, tra i migliori del nostro viaggio nel Borneo. La struttura è a due passi dal waterfront, dove ci sono diversi locali carini, affacciati sul mare, in cui cenare o bere qualcosa.

Sandakan è una città non indimenticabile ma il Sabah Hotel si salva assolutamente, sia per la posizione sia per la struttura in sè. Ottima base di partenza per le escursioni sul Kinanbatangan. Buoni i servizi dell’hotel, di livello europeo. La scelta migliore in città

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the sea. The staff were fantastic, all very friendly and helpful. The food was very nice. The musicians called the Highlanders were excellent and knew such a wide variety of music. They were a lot of fun. The snorkelling was good but you needed to go out away from the shore.

The room and surrounding are superb! Mr Lee is super nice and help us with luggage. He waited for us to arrive to show us the place. The garden is well taken care , my family and I enjoyed the place a lot with the magnificent view of mt kinabalu. The room come with heated floor- this is a very thoughtful design of the room/chalet.

Air con and fans worked well and clothes could be dried on large rack with many hangers provided. Host very helpful and answered our questions promptly. Parking space allocated which was helpful since parking not easy there otherwise. Carpark a little confusing with lack of signs at places. One private pool available for use (one day closed for cleaning/week) and another public pool also. Amazing green area/ponds for koi, play area on the roof top area. Great location, would recommend.
