The hotel is situated in the historical center, the area is wonderful. It has an interesting architecture, Entering the hotel you immediately feel the charm of the reception hall. The rooms are wonderful, in a particular old wooden style, some of the rooms in the fish's floor have large windows with amazing views on the historical center. The staff is extremely friendly and the support in any respect is really great. The food is very tasty, Mexican style, and the breakfast is served directly on the table, avoiding these nameless buffets. I really hope that this place will stay as it is, since it cannot be better!

Almost everything is closed on Mondays! The mercado is huge and goes on and on. There are not many (any when we were there) gringos in Durango. The people do not speak a lot of English and some will take advantage of you and overcharge, and others will go out of there way to be super helpful.

Clean ,wealthy colonial city with depth of character in the display of old churches with the church art,parks,art galleries,museums of the history of the the city,,mine tours. The people are very friendly and helpful.The centro area has promenades with fine shops ,dining ,all housed in colonial buildings that have been kept pristine .One can see the richness of the past in not only the architecture but the everyday lives of the people of Durango.

This hotel is one block from Plaza de Armas and el centro. The staff were lovely, our room was clean, comfortable and very affordable and breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious. They have a check in area for you to leave your car while you get your bags and then you just circle the block and parking is right behind the hotel in a small lot that's locked at night and guarded all day. Lovely but too short of a stay in Durango, an absolutely beautiful city.

This is a charming old hotel that is looking a little faded. It is right in the middle of colonial Durango with restaurants in easy walking distance. The owner/manager is very nice and helpful, but he speaks limited English. I had a cat with me which was easily accommodated. Just be sure to tell the hotel you are traveling with a pet when you make the reservation.

A nice colonial style hotel right next to the Cathedral de Durango on Calle Constitucion. The hotel is old but comfortable and had a nice Mexican buffet breakfast of chilaquiles and huevos. We would stay here again as it is close by to everything in the Centro Historico.
