We felt as if we were the only guests, it was so peaceful and we had the pool to ourselves for almost the entire time 😍 The highlight of the hotel was the staff, so lovely and helpful! Also, they have such a cute hotel dog Kiki! The hotel also helped to rent a scooter which was very nice to see the surroundings of Tangalle. I can definitely recommend that hotel!

This was one of the nicest places we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The hotel was absolutely beautiful but what made this place special was the people. We were welcomed and treated like family. We checked in a little late just due to exploring Sri Lanka and the GM even told us not to worry about check out time the next day- take our time, enjoy the pool and relax. The hotel only has 3 rooms so the staff is very attentive and take such great care of you. The meals provided by the chef were also delicious and very well prepared. Wonderful place - would highly recommend!

Stayed even an extra day because we didn’t want to leave. Very kind staff, great food, and right in front of a beautiful beach.

I recently had the most amazing experience at Lagoon Gate! It truly is a calm and relaxing oasis, perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional level of service they provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at fairy tail. It was simply fabulous! The place and people were top-notch, and I savored every single minut. We appreciated the attention to detail. Separately, I want to say about food! it's the best thing I've tried on the island! Chefs culinary skills far exceed your expectations. All in all, a great experience. The combination of delightful dishes, calming ambiance, and friendly staff makes it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to unwind and indulge in a true culinary delight. The Cabanas are spacious and clean. We also liked the food at the restaurant, we tried breakfast lunch and dinner and we liked it very much. The location directly on the beach is perfect. What we liked the most about this place were the people, they were super friendly and helpful, they did everything to make our stay exceptional. They made us feel like we were staying at a friends or familys place.

The staff is so friendly and gave us a wonderful service. hotel has a very enthusiastic and boutique atmosphere with the Restaurant area, Thanks and we ll see u soon in our next trip to Yala also forgot to mentioned that we really enjoyed the SAFARY arranged by Hotel.

Staff couldn’t do enough to help us… helped us out when we were short for cash for our safari (!), let us check out late, extremely friendly and turns out the owner does a lot for animal protection and conservation of the park! Not to mention the amazing setting and pool area!

Breakfast and dinner, good and abundant with typical local dishes.
