Beautiful hotel, on a lovely little street of cute shops, walkable distance to all main attractions. Very stylish decor, the most comfortable futon we found in Japan, and delicious food. The breakfast is highly recommended, the complimentary noodles and dango were also both exceptional. Oh, and the bath is very relaxing, with complimentary therapeutic salts.

They put a lot of care into details and the place is just a gem. I highlight as well both the cafe shop and the owners themselves. Both were really wonderful.

Kanazawa is an elegant and quaint city in the ishikawa prefecture. People are friendly and seem to be a little more conservative than other cities in Japan. It is a beautiful city and I will keep on visiting this city to discover more whenever I get to visit Japan again. I have definitely left my heart in Kanazawa for its hospitality and beauty.

While the place was out of the way from the main city of Kanazawa, the trade off was a quiet suburban neighbourhood of Japan, very close to a supermarket and an amazing sushi restaurant called Nishikawaya we had 12 freshly made nigiri for a very reasonable price.

The first hotel we booked had water liking issued. They just informed us at the same day we checked-in. They transferred us to another property, near to Ishikawa station. Excellent stay, and the view of the bay from the room was amazing. Both meals were delicious, and we had them in a private room. Also, there were a few private baths. The service staff were amiable and helpful. It is worth a trip to this remote area of the Noto Peninsula.

We had a suite with the private onsen which was fantastic. So peaceful, relaxing and romantic. It was expensive at nearly 70,000 yen (approx $700 AUD) per night and we stayed two nights, but the experience was totally worth it. If you can, definitely get this room. The little town of Yamanakaonsen is only about a 15 minute walk and has a convenience store and other gift shops. We found a lovely spot down by the river. The staff were all excellent, as I have found in all Japanese hotels, but I want to make a special mention about a young Indonesian lady (Sushi) who waited on our table. She explained the extensive menu in Japanese to my Japanese wife and again in English to me. Her bubbly personality was a delight. The food was outstanding, top quality and plentiful. Overall one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The onsen in your room overlooking the river and forest was just perfect.
