The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge. The location was stunning!! We got to feed horses and pet sheep. The landscape behind the hot tub area was breathtaking and perfect for relaxing!

It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.

A fost al treilea hotel de patru stele in care am fost cazati si singurul in care am servit un mic dejun foarte bun, pregatit cu multa dedicare si atentie de catre patroana însași !! Cina era deosebit de bine gatita si prezentată, cu o savoare deosebita in orice preparat!!Multumim frumos Tatianei pt atentia acordata cu multa blandețe si implicare!!
