We hired a chef for one night who prepared us great food. I would go back in heartbeat.

I really loved Bambu, so much so that I extended my stay to a month. What a beautiful place to stay at, and such kind, helpful and friendly kitchen staff who make delicious food and smoothies. Shad and Filipe are great, super friendly and always make sure you are happy. Would definitely recommend this place. A bonus is my dorm bed was super comfy. What a delight to wake up every morning and see that gorgeous sunrise from the bedroom window! The dorms even have a large terrace with table, seating, hammock and plug point from which to work or hang out with a book. There's even space enough to do yoga. The place also has 2 adorable and friendly cats.

My fiancée asked me to marry him there and there genuinely would not have been a more special surrounding. Astrid was also amazing as were all the staff we interacted with. Atitlan Villas feature rustic-style architecture, a swimming pool and hot tub overlooking the Atitlan lake. Built into the mountainside, it provides panoramic lake views. Mario and his staff were outstanding. They were attentive, caring and trust worthy. They made us feel as if we were guests in their private home. The secluded location and view of the lake/volcanos were spectacular and the large fluffy pool towels for cool evening dips into the jacuzzi were a bonus.
