In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. food and services was great, Leo was very helpful in any thing that we needed, great work Leo.

El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. A unique jungle experience! Beautiful setting, very helpful and friendly staff and owners and pretty and clean cabañas....and tasty food! Make no mistake, you're in the rainforest. So, you hear birds and animals and have to travel by boat or canoe. Highly recomendable.

Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel mempunyai taman, teres, restoran dan bar di Lívingston. The pool was amazing and has heating, allowing you to enjoy it even late at night. The food was amazing, I tried all of the pasta places in town and none came close to match theirs.

Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante mempunyai taman, ruang tamu berkongsi, restoran dan bar di Rio Dulce. The little cabañas are very nice and comfortable! All the staff is helpful and caring. Karina helped us a lot while we were trying to plan our next steps…100% recommended 😌

Hotel La Casa Rosada mempunyai taman, teres, restoran dan bar di Lívingston. Good location on the water, places to seat and hammocks. The place got a restaurant with a lot of options. Also you can rent boards / kayaks and book tours / shuttles.

Hotel El Reformador mempunyai taman, teres, restoran dan bar di Puerto Barrios. Dengan WiFi percuma, hotel 4-bintang ini menawarkan khidmat bilik dan kaunter penerimaan tetamu 24 jam. Breakfast was excellent. We were all super excited about the pillows not being flat like our previous location. Great stay for a quick trip.
