Nel fiume Río Dulce, vicino a un castello del XVI secolo, la penisola del Tortugal Boutique River Lodge è bagnata quasi costantemente da brezze balneari che creano un luogo fresco e rinfrescante. Stanza molto grande e bellissima, immersa nella natura.

El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. This hotel is amazing. We stayed in a hut in the middle of the jungle. The hut itself was thoughtfully designed with rare tropical wood like mahogany. It was beautiful, comfortable, quiet and the surroundings were magical. Tim and his team are the most wonderful hosts. The food is healthy and delicious. This place is a hidden gem.

Set in Puerto Barrios, Hotel Posada Stella Maris offers 5-star accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Set in Izabal, 45 km from Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Piscina anche se non indispensabile per me, apprezzata. Ambienti e spazi esterni grandi e piacevoli. Sistema di sicurezza per entrare e uscire, guardiano notturno

Situato a Lívingston, il Casa Nostra offre un ristorante, biciclette gratuite, un bar e un salone in comune. Camera bella, grande e pulitissima, con affaccio sul terrazzo condiviso con vista porticciolo, meraviglioso e tranquillo. Il bagno in comune è stato pulito più volte al giorno, anche se purtroppo sono capitata in un periodo in cui c'erano alcuni ragazzi che sono stati male, quindi lo hanno sporcato spesso e lo occupavano di continuo. Bella la possibilità di usufruire di una piscina dall'altra parte del paese, anche se non sono andata. Personale molto gentile, soprattutto il gestore, che mi ha aiutata a organizzare ogni spostamento successivo con estrema gentilezza e disponibilità. Cibo buonissimo, il loro tapado il migliore assaggiato nei miei giorni di soggiorno.

L'Hotel Kangaroo. Situato a Rio Dulce, il Las Mexicanas offre un ristorante, un bar, un salone in comune e un giardino. La struttura vanta camere familiari e una terrazza solarium. The little cabañas are very nice and comfortable! All the staff is helpful and caring. Karina helped us a lot while we were trying to plan our next steps…100% recommended 😌

Situato a Lívingston, a 2,3 km dalla spiaggia di Ribera Rio Dulce, l'Hotel La Casa Rosada offre un ristorante, un bar, un giardino e la connessione WiFi gratuita. Atmosfera speciale, personale molto disponibile, il dormitorio è molto spazioso e garantisce privacy tra i letti. Un posto che non dimenticherò.

Situato a Puerto Barrios, l'Hotel El Reformador offre un bar, un giardino e una terrazza. Breakfast was excellent. We were all super excited about the pillows not being flat like our previous location. Great stay for a quick trip.
