Tortugal Boutique River Lodge halvøen ligger i Rio Dulce-floden nær et slot fra det 16. århundrede. Halvøen er badet af næsten konstant havbrise, hvilket giver et køligt og forfriskende sted. The staff, the two guys and Angela were sooo friendly! And always willing to help with everything. The food was great. We made a daytrip to Livingston, they showed us many beautiful places and animals, thanks Jose!

El Hotelito Perdido er et lille jungle-tilflugtssted beliggende midt i nationalparken Rio Dulce. I had enjoyed very much to stay there. It was a perfect way to end my journey through Guatemala. A great place to relax to eat excellent food and to enjoy the nature and surroundings. Muchas gracias por todo.

There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, terrasse og restaurant. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel ligger i Lívingston og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Hotellet ligger omkring et par skridt fra North Livingston Beach og 1,4 km fra Capitania Beach. The property was on the Caribbean with a beautiful view. It was away from the town, but a short Tuk tuk ride away. It was very quiet. The grounds were a tropical paradise. The food was delicious.

Stuart and Abby were both amazing with advice about activities and logistics. So awesome. I also thought the staff at the restaurant, especially Jose Luis and Fernando who are connected to AK Tenemet, were terrific. Great food too!

The casitas are reasonably priced and well built with screens and louvred shutters over all windows. The restaurant serves very good Mexican food and the bar is very well stocked. Located in a small bay, it’s got a secluded and exotic vibe. We really liked it!

The dorm above the water is amazing, hearing the waves at night. Very good price, nice food and lovely staff. Also very easy to book shuttles and lanchas with them.

It was centrally located near harbor restaurants. We felt safe there. They had English speaking staff at the front desk and they arranged an English speaking taxi for us that arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water. The building felt very safe.
