Set in a 19th-century building, The Sands Hotel, Orkney is situated along the shore of Scapa Flow in Burray village. It has a bar, a restaurant and beautiful sea views. The staff was wonderful. They were welcoming, gracious and extra-accommodating. We arrived later than the restaurant was open, but they were willing to stay open and serve us from the Bar Menu (which was delilcious). The entire stay was delightful.

Super accomodation, wonderful location in remote Orkney countryside. Saw the northen lights from bedroom window. Great brekfast in lovely dining room.
