Set in a 19th-century building, The Sands Hotel, Orkney is situated along the shore of Scapa Flow in Burray village. It has a bar, a restaurant and beautiful sea views. The staff was wonderful. They were welcoming, gracious and extra-accommodating. We arrived later than the restaurant was open, but they were willing to stay open and serve us from the Bar Menu (which was delilcious). The entire stay was delightful.

Located on the shore of Harray Loch and family-run for over 30 years, the Merkister Hotel is a 15-minute drive from the main towns of Kirkwall and Stromness. Super accomodation, wonderful location in remote Orkney countryside. Saw the northen lights from bedroom window. Great brekfast in lovely dining room.

Rustic and charming, exacly what you imagine a once grand hotel from 1901 in a small fishing village on an island in North Atlandic should look like, loved it.

West End Guest House is set in Kirkwall, 1.2 km from Highland Park Distillery. Free private parking is available onsite. Certain rooms feature a seating area for your convenience. Wonderful breakfast. Kind staff. Great location right near the cathedral.
