Hotel Sophia is located in an upcoming neighborhood where the Tartu University of Science and Technology, as well as hospital are within a short walk away. The room is awesome and the view from the room. So good to sleep and the breakfast is amazing. Perfect hotel.

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away. Very nice big room on the attic. Great breakfast and nice staff.

Alatskivi Castle is a 16th century manor that's reconstruction was finished in the 19th century for Neo-Gothic style. If offers classically furnished castle rooms, with one located on the tower. We really like it and will definitely go back there next time we are in Tartu. This is a historical place with authentic nature and climate. Breakfast is made specially for you like for king. Museum, Peipus lake, walking trail and nature - all available around.

I didn't see any vegan options though. The rooms are bright and comfortable and smell good. The location is great if you stay for the National Museum, but the city center is only a 30 minute walk away and there are also bus stops.
