Great for an overnight stop on our way back from the Salzburg area. The owner met us at the door at the appointed arrival time and said that he had given us an upgrade - we were amazed at the size of the apartment and the huge covered balcony area. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The owner has wine and beer on sale and also pointed us in the direction of the very good local supermarket for breakfast the next day (Sunday) . Looks like a lovely area with plenty to do on a longer break. It was just a 5 hour jaunt back to Eurotunnel the next day, via Luxembourg to fill up with diesel!

The IntercityHotel Saarbrücken provides air-conditioned room, a bar, a restaurant, a 24-hour reception, room service and free WiFi. The team were excellent, good breakfast but one of the two coffee machines was turned off with the explanation that there were not enough people having breakfast to turn on the second machine; the next morning there were twice the number and the machine was still off! Eggs were often lukewarm, but these are minor, overall this was a great place to stay - the bowl of chili was outstanding! Can't say enough about the hotel staff, always helpful.

Una città carina ed a misura d'uomo, sicuramente più...
Una città carina ed a misura d'uomo, sicuramente più ospitale nei mesi più miti rispetto all'inverno piuttosto rigido. Da visitare il centro che è imperniato intorno alla chiesa di S. Giovanni. Molto suggestivi i giardini franco-tedeschi ed il parco lungo l'argine del fiume che in primavera è pieno di alberi fioriti e di ragazzi. Cibo tipico del Saarland da Zum stiefel e Die Kartoffel in centro, molto carino il locale Bake Street con il personale vestito in tema!
