Everything! It was a sanctuary for me. Clean, well-maintained, nicely designed room and space (the room was also very spacious — I could even lay out a yoga mat and practice everyday with more than enough space to walk around it). There’s a self-contained kitchen if you wanna cook. Also the owners and staff are fab — very friendly and helpful :) Close to restaurants and shops. It’s a short 2-3min walk to the main street and a big supermarket right there… and you can walk to the beach in about 10mins or less. If you’re feeling lazy, there are about 4 restaurants at your doorstep. As a solo female traveler, I also felt really safe. Would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Tamarindo!

The pool and bar area are awesome and Hazel made great breakfast every morning and did our laundry.

Due to a shortage of rental cars throughout Costa Rica, I was without transportation when I arrived at the hotel. Jeffrey and Shirley gave me a ride to downtown Tamarindo and even took time from their busy schedule to provide a personal tour of the town. Shirley even arranged an Uber taxi for me to travel to my next stop at Coco Beach. They are renovating the hotel and it is now modern, clean and reasonably priced.
