We really enjoyed our stay at Faro Azul and felt right at home thanks to Paulina, who was really welcoming and helpful. The entire property was very clean and in a very good shape with nice possibilities to sit and enjoy the amazing view. For us the location was very good, easy to walk to the center (15 minutes) and at the same time nice and quiet with amazing views. After dinner we took a Taxi back (also nice because you don’t have to walk uphill) and it only cost us 2000 CLP. There is free parking on the property. Breakfast was also really good with fresh fruit and scrambled egg.

Esencia Hotel Boutique has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Viña del Mar. I've stayed in more expensive hotels than this, but I've never stayed anywhere as nice. Esencia is GORGEOUS, the photos don't do it justice. On our room's little balcony, there were flowering vines, so we left the french doors open and our room always smelled like fresh flowers. The garden is lush with greenery and has several spots to sit and hang out. The food was amazing. The COVID safety precautions were great, protecting both guests and staff. The owners, Adri and Christian, were incredibly friendly and kind. It's obvious that this hotel is their passion and they're fully invested in creating a magical experience for their guests. The hotel has a perfect central location, easy to walk anywhere in Viña del Mar, and about 15 minute walk from the metro to Valparaiso. However, we ended up spending a lot of time just chilling at Esencia because siesta-ing there was nicer than relaxing in any of the lovely cafés in the neighborhood. Next time I'm in Chile, I will make a trip to Viña del Mar again just to stay at Esencia again.

This was an exceptional stay. The Chilean wine tourism industry is very low key (really just developing) and there aren’t many hotels in the Casablanca valley. This hotel was an oasis of calm and serenity which was wonderful to return to each day. The staff were incredibly helpful in making reservations for tasting and we were so very well taken care of. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
