We had the luck to have a small "family museum tour" from Maria del Rosario self and we were totally delighted to see how much love and effort were put in this hotel. + The breakfast was the best we had in our tour and we stayed before in some other bigger well known hotels. Considering that in South America there is not much use to have big breakfast, we were surprised about all what was offered and the different and lot of delicious and self made stuff. You are asked if you want to have eggs and if you do, they prepare them fresh and the way you want. This is something maybe common in higher star hotels and surprised us here very positively. The also had self-made pies and marmalade but if you prefer packaged products, you had them too. + The peace and AMAZING views!! From every part of the room. Even a small window at the shower which allows you to have a shower with view (but enough privacy!) + Price-performance ratio, TOP!

Taxi from downtown costs 5000 clp. Common area where you have breakfast or drinks is big and beautifully designed too. 10 minutes from airport. Easy parking on premises. Highly recommended unless you want to stay walking distance to the sea and downtown. Husband is a fly fishing guide too.

He helped us also to book taxis since our Spanish is pretty poor which made that process easy!

Spacious rooms with views to nearby mountains, wooden terrace with trees. Very convenient for late/early departures - separate guest entrance with code lock and breakfast comes prepacked in the room. Room was very warm and had heated towel/cloth hangers - perfect if weather outside wasn't the best. And owners are really attentive and friendly.

We were traveling two weeks in Pataginia and of all the hotels we stayed in, we most remember our stay at Ilaia Hotel. Hector at the reception is such a nice and helpful man and we immediately felt welcome! Breakfast is unforgettable, because we were welcomed in the morning by such a nice lady who served us a fantastic breakfast. Everything homemade and fresh and and we could tell everything was prepared with love. The meditative, relaxing music in the background creates a beautiful atmosphere. The room is spacious, cosy with nice lighting, modern and super clean and it is apparent that the hotel owners are very conscious about the environment. Punta Arenas is a small town and we could easily walk to the center - great location. What can I say... Ilaia is a beautiful hotel and our nice experience there will be unforgettable.

Superb hotel on a hill just a few blocks from the city main plaza. I was a little bit worried about how to take our suitcases up to our room, because the hotel clearly states that rooms access is steps only, no elevator. But there is a kind of home made luggage lift. The hotel decoration is made of antiques about old farmers/artisans jobs. The restaurant (very good) has a terrace overlooking the city and beyond the strait of magellan, and then the Tierra de Fuego. Incredible view.
