Napapalibutan ng mga bundok, matatagpuan ang Hotel Fex sa car-free Val Fex, sa 2000 metrong above sea level at 8 km naman mula sa Furtschellas-Corvatsch cable car. The main selling point is the location: at the end of the Fex valley. The rooms are not that big, bathrooms are basic (but more than adequate!). The other selling point is that the food and service is very good, really a cut above the rest when compared to simmilar hotels. Can only recommend it.

Built in a modern Engadine style, this 3-star hotel in the centre of Sils-Maria is 750 metres from the Furtschellas Cable Car. The traditionally furnished restaurant serves Swiss and Italian cuisine. Excellent menu, preparation, and presentation of the evening meals all three days. Also, an extensive wine list. Overall, the restaurant for the evening meals was very good and a good value. Breakfast was suitable but not above average. I seem to recall an extra charge for an egg cooked to order.
