The hotel is seconds from the ski area. Literally right out the front door. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was very family friendly. View from our room was what we envisioned from a Swiss chalet. Bus service from hotel to downtown Grindelwald comes 4x times an hours and only minutes away. Will definitely go again.

The Hotel Alpenruhe - Vintage Design Hotel is situated in calm surroundings in the car-free village of Wengen, on a plateau with panoramic views of the mountains and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Everything! Super super satisfied with the staying here. We (my bf and I) were planning to stay here only 1 night, but we ended up extending 4 more nights as it was just perfect 😍! The scenery from the room was perfect, room was comfortable, staffs were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was good, the neighborhood was good as well! The hotel is a bit uphill of the town which is less central area of wengen, so it was more quiet than other central hotel areas, which was perfect for me!! we are planning on coming back here again for next vacay! 😍

Overall we enjoyed the stay a lot. It’s comfortable and with reasonable cost, located by the lake which is super good for a morning or sunset walk. Easy parking, good for a family trip with a car, so you can drive to Interlaken OST to take trains. And the staff are all very friendly and helpful, gave me a lot of trip ideas.

The hotel is located right in front of the train station, there's a Coop next door and a self-service laundromat at the building (reception will help with more info). The views are breath-taking and you can take the train to Kleine Scheidegg and take another from there to the Jungfraujoch (The top of Europe). Lauterbrunnen is just down the hill, the train runs every half-hour and the ride is only 13 minutes. The hotel has two restaurants (great steak) and there are many around (pizza, pasta, steak, and Santos has the best burgers 🍔😋)

Location was excellent! Located near the Train Station. Although it was a walk up the hill, it was easy to find and a really nice and quiet location. We loved the overall hotel building and we stayed in the chalet at the back and it was very clean and beautiful!

The moment you step in the hotel, you will be greeted by a most welcoming smile from Peter, who will walk you through every single process of checking-in; he will even escort you, with your luggage, to your room, complete with all the brochures, maps, and advice you need to get around Interlaken. From Interlaken Ost, bus #103 stops a few meters before the hotel, every 30min. The restaurant serves very good breakfast & excellent food for lunch & dinner. The kitchen & restaurant staff are very kind and attentive. 😊

The staff was very warm, welcoming and accommodating. Met the owner a very lovely lady. The hotel was off season I believe but had a lovely dinner at request. I had to leave early to catch my train and the owner organized a lunch bag for my long train trip. I would highly recommend and definitely will stay here again. I had a room with a view of the lake and the mountains. Was so amazing to wake up to this very morning. The public bus was easy and convenient right infront of the hotel to and from Interlaken Ost. Everything was perfect.
