Situated in the centre of Liestal, Kulturhotel Guggenheim is 50 metres from the Liestal Wasserturmplatz bus stop. It offers individually furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi. Great little hotel with great pizzas and a fantastic music venue attached. The room was very comfortable and the access to decent coffee, bottled water and snacks was most appreciated. All printed material is on German, but everyone spoke good English and made me feel at home. Very popular place to eat, so make sure you book a table.

Situated just 10 km from Basel city centre, the family-run Hotel Eremitage offers rooms with a coffee machine, an en-suite bathroom and free Wi-Fi. Its restaurant serves cordon bleu specialities. Location, cleanliness, our Host Marc Marles was fantastic! he was extremely welcoming and very accommodating in every way. the breakfast buffet is fantastic! I can’t say enough about this little gem. If you are ever in Basel you must stay.

Located in Münchenstein, Hotel Hofmatt is 10 km from Basel-Mulhouse Airport and a 15-minute tram ride from Basel’s city centre. Wi-Fi access and private parking are available free of charge. the property is very clean, has parking and a good restaurant.

Set in the heart in the scenic wine-growing village of Aesch, Gasthaus zur Sonne is only 15 km from Basel. It offers free Wi-Fi access and a rich breakfast buffet. Breakfasts and dinner were very good even if the later was a bit expensive for us UK residents! Alexandia was extremely helpful in arranging transport on Easter Monday for the four of us before we we had arrived and her mother went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and a success. Would highly recommend this Gasthaus for its service and warm welcome.

A 15-minute drive from the centre of Basel, Hotel Gasthof zum Ochsen enjoys a quiet location in the heart of Arlesheim, 8 km from Basel and 1,200 metres from the Goetheanum Centre in Dornach. The restaurant is authentic and wooden cozy space which feels amazing. Although the breakfast does come with limited options for such a Hotel but the quality of most products are really good. for example cheese and milk and range of breads seemed local. You are also asked for the omelette options which is nice ( It was the best eggs I had in a hotel). Also there is a buffet in each floor of the hotel with drinks and snacks which is free and was helpful as we checked in late and no restaurant was open in the area. The only things that I wish were better in the breakfast was the juice as it was not fresh. Also, during mid day, the smell of boiling red meat was all in the common area , but not in the room I must admit.

This hotel enjoys an idyllic location in the Jura mountains in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. All rooms have balconies and you have free access to its health spa area. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Very large swimming pool (with nicely warm water). Very quiet location.

The Hotel Coop Tagungszentrum & Hotelpark im Grünen in Muttenz is 4 km from Basel's centre and 20 minutes by a direct public transport connection from the Messe Basel fairgrounds. The staff was always supporting and the location was easy to access

Hotel Baslertor is a modern, architecturally unique three star hotel, which is located in the middle of Muttenz, 3 km from Basel city. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood Muttenz. We stayed for three days. Hotel is just two minutes away is the station for tram 14, which takes you to the center for about 15-20 minutes. Near the hotel there is a supermarket, several fast foods and a bakery.
