The well-maintained grounds are a testament to the hosts' dedication to creating a serene oasis for their guests. Everywhere we looked, we were met with lush greenery and peaceful views. Cleanliness was evident throughout the property, a detail that didn't go unnoticed. One of the highlights of our visit was the delicious breakfast. The attention to detail in every dish was apparent, and the flavors were simply delightful. Leslie's warmth, friendliness, and helpfulness truly set the tone for our stay. Her local insights and recommendations enriched our experience on the island, and her genuine care for her guests made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than at a bed and breakfast. Wayside Motel Manitoulin is located in Manitowaning. All rooms feature a refrigerator and a flat-screen TV with cable channels and an HDMI cable. Guests can enjoy high speed internet. Everything. It was super clean. Elizabeth and her son were fantastic hosts - helpful, accommodating and friendly. The patio area was a gem for evening sunset viewing and morning coffee. They were super helpful with the use of their bbq too. Overall it’s top notch, conveniently located near the highway, but far enough back away from it. The town of Manitowaning is really peaceful, and the beach is a 2min drive from the motel. It is a short drive to Sheguiandah and Little Current as well as South Baymouth (ferry terminal). As a former resident of Little Current, returning home for a visit, I discovered Manitowaning from a new perspective and found it to be an amazing little place to stay. Can’t say enough about the Wayside and the owners.

Betty Ann went above and beyond to help us out when we let her know that we'd come expecting to be in a self-catering unit - completely our mistake as we have a different definition of "kitchenette" in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 . We expected a kitchen sink and dishes, cutlery etc.
