Opened in 2013, the elegant Agusta Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo features a free indoor pool and fitness centre, a daily served buffet breakfast, a lobby bar, and WiFi in all areas for free. The room that we booked wasn't available and the hotel offers an apartment in the same price as a double room. The room is clean and big. The breakfast was good, the swimming pool was good and the water had a good temperature.

Located in the centre of Veliko Tarnovo, behind the Theatre, family-run Priyateli Guest House offers a spacious garden, where breakfast is served every morning. Clean and comfortable room, short walk from the town centre. Parking available on the street, we were lucky to find a space but the host also reserves a space outside the hotel with a water jug. Breakfast was great, traditional options like mekitsa and banitsa as well as lots of cakes.

Located on the Ivan Asen I square at Veliko Turnovo’s historical centre, Hotel Studio offers views of Tsarevets Fortress and the Trapezitsa Hill. I recommend this hotel especially for great location. It is located in front of the Tsarevets castle. View from the room was amazing. You can watch the evening light show from the room. If you choose a room without the view on the castle, there is a terrace on the roof of the building where you can also go and look at the castle and watch the show. Breakfast was good, but can be improved. The room was clean and pleasant. The staff was kind and friendly.
