It really shows that it is directly managed by the owners who are extremely friendly and willing to help with anything. They helped me to rent a car by doing all the talking and arrangements on WhatsApp. The car arrived at the hotel, and it was very new, in excellent condition and had a great price. I didn't even need a credit card for the car rental. The car rental experience has been amazing, and it was possible only because of the hotel hosts. They helped another tourist as well with the car rental, as he was refused by the big car rental companies for not having a credit card. The hotel is very clean and has a rustic feeling. The heating worked great and the bathroom had very hot water with great pressure. This was very nice since I visited in winter and it was cold outside. The price of this hotel is extremely affordable compared to what you get.

El Calafate è una città che ha incrementato il suo sviluppo dal 2001 con la costruzione dell'aeroporto internazionale. Davvero un punto forte della Patagonia, tra il parco nazionale dei ghiacciai, di cui sua maestà Perito Moreno... a paesaggi davvero incredibili... steppe, praterie, laghi.... colori e suoni che hanno dell'incredibile!

Molto turistica. La più cara della Patagonia. Tutte le escursioni vanno fatte perchè la bellezza della natura è qualcosa di divino. Un ristorante valido è Pura Vida che offre piatti locali ben preparati a prezzi accettabili in un locale molto accogliente e giovanile

Molto bella la laguna, perfetta per il birdwatching. El Calafate è una tranquilla cittadina, molto turistica. Il parco nazionale Los Glaciares è spettacolare, e la camminata sul Perito Moreno non ha eguali! È una meta obbligatoria per chi visita la Patagonia meridionale. Si gira molto bene con un auto a noleggio!

El calafate is a nice little town with very much of a summer holiday town feel. Plenty of bars,restaurant and shops to entertain the huge turist crowds and a strange mice climate for the latitude make it feel a world away from other touristic towns in neighbouring chilean patagonia. It all comes with a price tag that has too many zeroes for travellers on a vudget, though, so you won't feel bad if you just spend one night there and go

Cittadina esplosa per la vicinanza ai ghiacciai è una tappa obbligata per l'aeroporto più comoda per visitare la Patagonia. L'atmosfera è da briosa città di montagna piena di locali molto carini (La Zaina o La Tablita su altri), ricca di servizi turistici (agenzie per escursioni, auto a noleggio) all'interno di un architettura che ben rispetta il luogo in cui si trova mantenendo civiltà e pulizia.

Bel paesino di montagna con la vista fantastica del Fitz Roy e di altre montagne. Tutto in paese si raggiunge a piedi. Intorno magnifiche e impegnative escursioni ben segnalate. Ci sono locali per tutte le tasche ma quasi nulla è economico. C'è un clima da frontiera. Molte case belle, molte in costruzione, molte modeste. Bella la gita in barca al ghiacciaio del lago Viedma. Bel clima e buon cibo a Patagonia Rebelde. Ottimo massaggio alla piccola Spa in Av. San Martin.

Una cittadina viva e anche se fondata sul e per il turismo riesce ad essere ancora un po' autentica e ad offrire soluzioni di alloggio e cena per tutte le tasche, cosa che a mio avviso El Calafate non fa. Punto di partenza privilegiato per i trekking verso le più celebri montagne della patagonia, consiglio di armarsi di tenda (o noleggiarla in loco) e star fuori qualche giorno, perché queste montagne meritano più di una escursione mordi e fuggi!

Località incantevole.
Località incantevole. Cittadina pulita, ordinata e accogliente. Panorami stupendi: la cordigliera delle Ande, il lago Argentino e l'immensa e bellissima Patagonia. Il ghiacciaio del Perito Moreno è veramente unico: uno spettacolo mozzafiato che da solo vale tutto il viaggio in Argentina. In una parola: meraviglioso. Assolutamente da vedere e ammirare in tutta la sua maestosità.

Al primo momento sembra un posto desolatissimo e vorresti scappar via. Poi rifletti che questa è la Patagonia e dopo tutto c'è un po' tutto quello che serve veramente: ristorantini, market, benzinaio, bancomat, qualche negozio x articoli da regalo, tanta tranquillità e un pizzico di avventura. Soprattutto sei nel Parco e eviti un'ora di strada ogni giorno da Puerto Madryn. Certo se cerchi vita notturna non è il posto che fa per te!!

Upon arriving in Ushuaia at 9 am, a short ride from the airport brought me to the hotel, where the staff warmly greeted me and assisted with my luggage. The welcoming touch of hot chocolate set the tone for a delightful stay. Check-in was seamless, and I was invited to enjoy a complimentary drink and breakfast since it was still early. Although I passed on the drink, the breakfast spread was delicious, especially the homemade lemonade. After breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised to find my room ready. Room was spacious and super clean! A quick shower later, I was prepared to explore the area. The hotel's concierge was incredibly helpful, securing a spot for a trip to a Martillo (Pinguin) island the next day and offering tips for my stay. My first adventure was a hike to lagoon Esmeralda. Despite warnings of muddy conditions, the experience was exceptional, with stunning scenery. The hotel staff had thoughtfully prepared me for this hike, ensuring I had all the necessary gear and sandwiches. Returning from the hike, I indulged in the hotel's spa facilities, enjoying the jacuzzi and infinity pool with views of the Beagle channel and mountains. Despite the hotel's distance from the city center, transport (shuttle bus and Uber) was convenient and affordable. Hotel's spa facilities provided much-needed relaxation after my daily long hikes. On my final day, following a recommendation, I hiked to a glacier, enjoying spectacular views and concluding the trip with a delightful meal of local cuisine. Leaving was difficult, but the memories of this incredible journey will stay with me forever. Huge thank you to Ivan, Maria, Milena, Luciana, Antonella, Leonel, Michaela and the rest of the wonderful crew for making my stay unforgettable.

Posizione eccellente con vista del lago Argentino, decentrato rispetto ad El Calafate, ma dati i servizi, il prezzo e il panorama ne è valsa la pena. Il Centro del paese è raggiungibile con 10 minuti di Taxi. Servizi eccellenti, piscina con acqua calda e centro fitness ben attrezzato.

We LOVED this hotel. Such a beautiful lobby view and the comfiest of beds. Super clean with daily housekeeping. A little bit off the main road in comparison to other hotels but it’s only a 10 minute walk downhill so wasn’t a problem at all. A must stay

The rooms were clean, warm and the beds were comfortable. We were traveling by bus and it was within walking distance from the bus station and town center. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate and there is also food service from 4-9.30pm.

Excellent breakfast and supper dinner with delicious Pentagonia lamb. Front desk Teo is efficient, professional and very attentive . He welcomed us very warmly and explained everything so clearly. He helped to book our day tours plus transport. He found a room for us to stay the next day so we don’t have to move to another hotel on our last day in El Calafate. Thank you, Teo. You are a 5 star service model!!

Historical hotel with breathtaking views all around! The rooms are renovated and the decor is beautiful! The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The pool is stunning and at the perfect temperature and there is a private marina with many recreational options included. They also offer activities like archery and guided walks that were very fun, all included as well. Many options at breakfast and the hall is facing the mountains and lakes which makes the experience even nicer. The hotel has literally everything one may need from travel agency, hair saloon, spa, photography services, stores etc.

Awesome hotel right across from the beach. All rooms have beautiful ocean views with patios. We ate all our meals in the hotel restaurant which was very good with an excellent staff. We walked the beach every day to see the pink flamingos and even a few penguins. A very relaxing few days in a modern hotel. I would stay again.

The location is truly fantastic, right on the lake with beautiful surroundings and a relaxing ambience. The manager courteously offered us a room upgrade. The room was very spacious and clean. The pool right next to the lake is great. There is a nice play room. The gym is quite large and decently equipped.
