The location was perfect when picking our son up from the Heaphy track! Laundry facilities were a bonus. The unit was spacious and clean and very comfortable for 3 people. Beautiful view! Allison was friendly, helpful and kind. We enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

What a wee gem this was to stay in, it was immaculately clean, had everything we needed, very comfy bed and a brilliant shower, close to town and quiet. The host is just lovely. We couldn’t rate this high enough.

The man who greeted us was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed Fresh milk in the room (not uht) - these little things make such a difference! Delicious shortbread in the room.

Surrounded by beautiful native trees and bush land, Aspen Court Motel Franz Josef offers guests free Wi-Fi. Opened in December 2013, the property offers heated rooms with a flat-screen TV. This was a very well-appointed accommodation, clearly not very old but still in very good condition. We had a spacious room, a comfortable bed, a good bathroom, and a well equipped kitchen - even a Nespresso machine. The property was about 5 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants in a quiet location.

The staff were really friendly greeting us, explaining the room and local area, while having a nice chat with us on booking in. The apartment exceeded expectations with lots of space and all the facilities to be comfortable for an extended stay. The location was ideal with a supermarket a short walk away and then the main town centre further down the road. Although on the main road, the low speed limit meant it wasn’t overly noisy during the night.
