Great location close to the heart of La Fortuna, and the host was really accommodating with our late arrival at 10 pm. The place was spick and span and well decorated. Overall very comfortable and a nice stay!

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... This is the best place to stay in Arenal/La Fortuna area! Even though it was raining and we didn’t get to see the Volcano, the hotel is beautiful and the staff is spectacular! A special shoutout to Darwell and the Chef, the food was spectacular!!!! Definitely the best meals we had in all of Costa Rica. The ceviche was the best we have had hands down!

We have stayed in many different places in La fortuna area and for one day we stayed in the tree house in Rio celeste area(limit 100$ per day). We did not want leave. This stay was by far better for a similar price. More comfy bed, clean soft towels, tasty food, nice idea of being elevated while watching birds in trees.

Eduardo and his Family were very kind and helped out with anything I needed. The place is very peaceful and in the middle of nature. It’s a little bit outside of the village - I recommend a car to get around. I recommend the typical breakfast, which was delicious and also dinner was a delight.

Beautiful uninterrupted view of the Arenal volcano and valley. Quiet, rural setting with a few cabins nearby. The bedroom had double windows opening on to the patio. It was a good size with 2 comfortable queen beds and a put up bed for a child. Aircon was only in the bedroom, it was quiet and efficient. There was a large shower unit with lots of hot water. Cushioned seats and a table were on a covered patio which was large enough to use during a downpour. The settee in the living area was a good size. The kitchen has a full sized freestanding cooker with 4 rings , a microwave, rice steamer, and mini oven grill, coffee machine and kettle. Cooking utensils were limited to spoons/ slice and a knife. There were plenty of pans & a colander. The 11kg load washing machine was a bonus. Daniel was quick to respond, friendly and helpful. We were delighted when he introduced us to Freddy a local sloth at the end of the drive.

Great location right on the river. nice bungalows, very clean, spacious with comfortable beds and loved the outside bathroom. Employees are all very nice and helpful. we booked 2 nights but added a night. such a peaceful place, highly recommend. The food was simple but fresh and tasteful.

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. My 7-yr old daughter and I loved our stay at La Finca Lodge. Everything was perfect - the peaceful location, the staff, Carmen’s cooking, the gardens and the animals, and of course the pool. It is a little gem and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge offers 60 hectares of Cocoa farm and guests can enjoy tours, chocolate and bird watching. The accommodation features a seating area. We traveled with our 7 months old daughter. Overall a true gem and authentic Costa Rican immersive experience by witnessing life on a chocolate farm. Easy to access (no need for 4-wheel drive) and very safe location. A stay here includes a free chocolate making tour across the farm which we would highly encourage everyone to take advantage of. Our deluxe bungalow was well equipped (a baby cot was provided) with mosquito nets both on the doors and above the beds. The bungalows featured a balcony facing into the green with relaxing reading chairs and a hammock. The shower was surprisingly modern and well functioning given the more wood cabin feel of the bungalows. A ceiling mounted fan made for nice temperatures during the night. We recommend staying at least 2 nights as Finca Amistad is located perfectly for a trip to stunning Tenorio National Park (15minute car ride).
