Chalets Silencio del Bosque asub Alajuela piirkonnas Fortunas, 10 km kaugusel La Fortuna joast. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus, grillimisvahendid, aed ja tasuta eraparkla. The stuff was super friendly and prepared the best casado we had during our trip to costa rica (have to try the homemade chilie sauce). Also unexpectedly good was the included free frog spotting tour. Even though the chalets were rather tiny they felt spacious and were indeed very private. This is definitely no 5-Star Hotel but as best as eco-friendly individual tourism could get.

Cabañas Sueños del Arenal asub Fortunas, 5,7 km kaugusel La Fortuna joast ja 7,8 km kaugusel Kalambu kuumaveeallikatest. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja aed, kus on terrass ja mäevaated. The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

Cecropia Ecolodge asub Fortunas, 31 km kaugusel La Fortuna joast ja 34 km kaugusel Kalambu kuumaveeallikatest. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ning aed, kus on terrass ja mäevaated. Everything! The setting is absolutely incredible! Views for miles - out to the cloud forest beyond! The property has nice, rugged trails that let me feel like I was in the wild, yet safe to walk alone exploring the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Jay’s guided night hike wowed us and inspired my 12 year old daughter, Ophelia, to emulate his trained techniques. She continued to observe and listen carefully for the distinct sounds of various creatures for the remaining weeks of our Costa Rica trip…. and sure enough, spotted a bunch! The Toucan lodge was adorable and comfortable. I loved sleeping in the dense darkness listening to the nocturnal activities of the rainforest! The meals and juices were delicious - like “Is there any more more of THAT?” delicious! The hammocks, the mirador, the trails, song birds, the colors- oh, the colors!- the love and joy that abounds at Cecropia is very special. Jay and Nohe are beautiful souls. I am so happy I stayed at Cecropia Lodge and was able to support their environmental project.

Las Pavitas Cottages asub Fortunas, 14 km kaugusel La Fortuna joast ja 7,5 km kaugusel Kalambu kuumaveeallikatest. Once the sky clears up you have a fantastic view on the volcano. we only stayed for one night but we wouldn’t want to leave in the morning trying to stay as long as possible. couldn’t get away from all the hummingbird action. the communication with our host was all via app but super responsive and stressfree. I personally like it when I have someone to talk to in person but I totally understand if this is not always possible. And as I said: I always got an immediate response. I would totally recommend this cabin which was well equipped and spotless clean. And by the way: the view is the same (or maybe even better because higher up) as at the resort furrher down the road where you‘ll pay ten times as much and have to share it with other guests 😀

Excellent service. The rooms are perfect and comfortable with a nice view of the river. Great breakfast. And a paradise for birdwatching. Macaws and many more. Augusto is a great host, and the owner, Alfonso, and his family will make you feel at home.

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. My 7-yr old daughter and I loved our stay at La Finca Lodge. Everything was perfect - the peaceful location, the staff, Carmen’s cooking, the gardens and the animals, and of course the pool. It is a little gem and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge pakub 60 hektari suurust Cocoa talu ning külalised saavad nautida ekskursioone, šokolaadi ja linnuvaatlust. Majutusruumides on istumisnurk. This is a forest hut lodge indeed, on the cacao farm. Pictures reflect it well. What is not seen on the pics is the spotless cleanness and the hospitability. Huts are modern and well equipped. Fine chocolate drinks, good brekky. Recommended.
