Local institutions and businesses like the Satilla Regional Medical Center, the Pierce County industrial park and the Gilman Paper Company are all minutes from this hotel. The hotel is located right on the central street of Blackshear and yet is very quiet and peaceful. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. Check in was very quick. You can even get dollars changed into quarters to use the washing machine1$ for detergent, 1.25$ for the washing machine. The breakfast room was large, clean and pleasant. Breakfast was great. The hotel room ( king size room) was large and clean. Perfect base location to explore the Okefenokee swamps. We would definitely come back again.

However, communication with the owner was easy and answers were provided very quickly. We’d like to come back!
