Situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, 49 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, Masonic Arms Gatehouse has a number of amenities including a garden, a restaurant and a bar. This was the best hotel we stayed at our whole vacation! Beautiful rooms with unique decor and lots of details that made our stay comfortable. Excellent staff, lovely meals, walkable location.

Set in Kirkcowan, Craighlaw Arms Boutique B&B has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The inn features family rooms. At the inn, rooms are fitted with a desk and a flat-screen TV. Great welcome. Very pet friendly - no problem even at breakfast - our border collie was allowed to sit under the table. Very comfortable bed in spacious room. Lovely quiet village with shop and excellent walks for dogs.

The room was brand new, very clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the pub and, having French standards, the meal was unexpectedly delicious. So was the breakfast. Situated in Sandhead, 200 metres from Ringdoo Sands Beach, Tigh Na Mara Hotel has a number of amenities including a shared lounge, a restaurant, a bar and free WiFi. The location to the beach! The pub a few doors down! The breakfast was generous and delicious while the service (Ian) was superb!

Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet, once inscribed a window at this 16th-century hotel in Moffat’s centre. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. When I arrived too late to eat dinner in their restaurant, they called another restaurant for me and arranged a reservation. They also upgraded my room due to availability without me asking. They were wonderful.

The Crown Hotel is situated in Newton Stewart in picturesque Wigtownshire, in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. It features a restaurant and elegant rooms with original features. The service was unmatched, every member of staff were helpful, efficient and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant menu was great - a lot of variety especially with the specials menu changing frequently too. Breakfast was also a winner, continental and a full Scottish breakfast if you wanted (you could pick as many or as less items as wanted). The hotel is more than 300 years old so it was lovely staying somewhere that holds a small amount of history.
